"Debby," Dahlia said worriedly.
She quickly walked around the house trying to find her sister; she found her upstairs in their parents bedroom on the floor crying, hugging her knees.
"Hey," Dahlia said, rushing to her side, kneeling beside her; Debby didn't say anything and continued to cry.
Dahlia hugged her Debbys head, resting on her chest.
"Everything is going to be ok," whispered Dahlia.
"You don't know that," Debby said, her voice breaking and tears running down her face.
It was true she didn't know that Dahlia knew a lot of things 90% of the time; she had an answer for whatever Debby asked her; it didn't matter how silly the question was but this she had no fucking clue.
"It's true I don't," Dahlia said honestly; Debby moved to face her, trying to control her breathing.
"But we have each other, whatever is going on, we will be ok," Dahlia said as she held Debby's hands.
"I miss them," Debby said quietly, looking down at their hands. "Me too," Dahlia said and kissed the top of Debby's head.
After their short talk, Debby fell asleep, and Dahlia cleaned around the house; she was getting ready to head to bed when she received a text from Luke telling everyone to go to the church.
That's the only thing he said she didn't know how to feel about it; she wasn't sure if having them come back so soon were good news or bad news.
She woke up Debby, and they headed to the church; not everyone showed up; the church was a mess, trash on the floor and beer cans everywhere.
"Anything?" Cassandra asked Helena after waiting for thirty minutes they still haven't arrived. Helena checked her phone and shook her head.
"They must be headed back here. That's why he wanted us together." Harry said.
"So fast. Twelve hours. Maybe they found something," Kelly said, feeling hopeful.
"Or maybe they found nothing. Why wouldn't he say if there were good news," Helena said, and a few people looked at her and agreed.
People are going to be more scared, "Listen up!" Cassandra said loudly, getting up hugging herself.
"While we're all here, together, there are some things that we ought to figure out. Before we rip this place apart and maybe, you know, start hurting each other. I don't know what the hell is going on. Maybe Luke will come back with some good news," Cassandra said, looking at everyone.
"Maybe? Of course, he will," Elle said, looking at Cassandra. "Yeah, why don't we just wait and see, Cassandra?" Harry said from where he was sitting down.
"Because I would rather prepare for the worst before the worst happens," Casandra replied quietly.
"What does that mean, prepare?" Debby asked, sounding a bit worried. Dahlia looked at her; she had been so quiet the last few hours.
"I don't know specifically, but I think it means we agree not to just take the things we want when we want. Until all the food is gone and we starve," Cassandra answered.
People started to whisper among themselves to those who were near them. They were going to start to panic when people are hungry; that's when things can go bad.
