The Next Day...

Sierra slowly began to wake up, but the headache banging away in her head was agonizing for her.

She tossed and turned a few times, but her surroundings felt far more than just off.

She was finally able to crack open one of her eyes, only to see dark-colored metal walls and barred doors and windows.

Her eyes shot open as her heart rate sped, looking around the room hastily with shaky breaths.

It wasn't ell then that she looked down at her hand restraints.

"Wh... The fuck?" She looked down hard at her hands, taking notice that it was UNSC metal.

"Oh, no..." She hissed.

She looked over the cell again, trying to see any weak points in the bars before she heard the buzzer for the doors sound off, and a set of boots walking down the hall.

Sierra kept a harsh glare towards the door as the men approached closer, hearing one set was softer than the others.

The men stayed beside the sides of the door before they carded it open, then entered like it was an armed room.

Sierra tried to keep her eyes on them both before they grabbed her by her upper arms before the softer tread of the group walked in.

"Sleep well?"

The voice made Sierra's blood run cold, glaring up at Dr. Halsey as she looked down at her.

"Where did you take me..?" Sierra growled, retracting her head back as Halsey stepped closer to her.

"Somewhere I should have a long time ago." Halsey said in a low tone.

Sierra felt probable cause for concern, especially as a power surge through the entire facility made all the lights flicker and soften.

Sierra's bow furrowed at the power surge, realizing just where they'd taken her.

This facility was dismissed by numerous administrations as rumor, but clearly, this hellhole existed, seeing it was a ' rehabilitation facility ' that has a liking for electroshock.

Halsey quickly snatched Sierra by her restraints to get her to stand and to look her in the eye.

"You're finally going to get what you deserve, you little bitch." She hissed at her.

Sierra accepted the threat, and slung her head forward, connecting with the bridge of Halseys' nose.

The men quickly and roughly regained their hold on Sierra as an all too familiar voice aided Halsey.

Halsey only huffed, wiping away her bloody nose as she stared down at Sierra in a rage.

Sierra did the same, but she took notice of Roman beside her, feeling more betrayal than anything.

"Get her secured in the chamber! Let me know when you're done. Come, Roman."

Sierra was hoisted up by the men and dragged away as Roman could only turn his back on her and follow Halsey out.

"I'LL FUCKING KILL YOU, HALSEY!" Sierra shouted at the top of her lungs, to which she got her attention seeing as she stopped and turned around.

She took a few steps closer but sneered at her.

"I'm waiting..."

Sierra struggled against her capture, but she was proceeded to being carried off to the chamber.

The room looked like a large auditorium with an observatory just above the room.

The men had locked her in the straps on what looked like a vertical table, finally releasing her hands only to strap them back.

She struggled against the table as it shifted at an angle, hearing the equipment around her surge and connect to her neural implants.

She froze, and her body felt hollow as she was consumed by her 'Punishment'.

"As soon as we're in range of the Facility, all Phantoms and Platoons are to engage. Get me inside those walls!"

Torok marched back and forth impatiently in his Phantom, Ryke at his side readying his Plasma repeater.

The sounds of Phantom Fire countering AA turrets and the concussive impact of Rocket Launchers rocked the Phantoms on their sides, but they swiftly punched a hole through the defensive perimeters.

They soon swarmed the entire facility, and melted through its walls, allowing Torok and his men entry as they invaded in numbers.

He had his men scoured each and every corner of the base until all the firefighting went quiet, and the halls filled with one violent, blood-chilling scream from the auditorium as the power surged in its same direction.

Torok and Ryke sprinted towards the Auditorium doors, having them cut open frantically at the sight of Sierra.

Ryke had used his sword to cut the cables attached to the machines as Torok ripped away from her restraints.

Sierra was flushed, and the entire length of her spine had been burned and incaved by the electroshock she was put through as steam trails left her damaged body.

She was still alive, but barely as she could only heave for air, and tears roll down her face in Torok's arms.

He only held her tightly to him, and slowly walked away with her out of the facility.

The pain radiating in her eyes was acceptance enough to take her away, seeing how the ride back to camp felt like nothing.

Torok laid her down on his bed, stomach down as Vexa entered his tent.

"Torok..." Vexa looked at him with grief, seeing his pain for the girl.

"Do what you can." He said quietly as he caught Valass running towards the tent in the corner of his eye.

He darted out of his quarters to stop him, explaining what had happened to the boy.

Sierra would be under vigilant eyes while she recovered, days turning into weeks, into a month before she could hold her own, and reformulate small sentences.

After a time, Torok had told her that she was to stay, as permitted by the Hierarchs, which made the girl fight harder to recover faster.

It was up to her now what to do with the opportunity she'd been gifted.
