"I think I'm fine from here on out. Not the smartest idea to let you go any further."

Torok could see the Garix outpost from where they were standing, so he complied, and gave Sierra a nod.

"Alright, then... I'll stay here." He said.

"You're just gonna stand there and watch me walk through the gates?" Sierra asked him in disbelief.

His glance downward was answer enough for her as she sighed out.

"Okay..." She said in her breath as she walked off.

Torok was to stand there in silence while he watched her walk away, but something was eating away at him into his outburst.

"Sierra!"

She stopped in her tracks, turning sharply around to face Torok.

He was stunned by his lack of composure, but he continued.

"Good luck be with you, on the other side." He said.

Sierra gave a firm nod of her head.

"You too, Ship-Master."

Torok felt conflicted, but he was walking a fine line with allowing her to live, let alone what his mind was telling him to do.

He let out a growl to himself, but in the distance, he could hear a UNSC Vehicle in the distance in Sierra's direction.

"Hmm. I suppose they finally decided to come to look for her themselves-"

Torok jolted into silence and worry as he heard gunfire, swearing he'd never bolted with such zeal before.

"Get off me! " He could faintly hear Sierra shout in anger and fear as another shot fired, a scream following.

Atop of the hill on the road, he could see a defaced warthog with around five men that now owned it, and Sierra fighting for her life as two were already dead.

Two were standing aside as if they were watching a show as the third had Sierra pinned to the ground, hands around her neck as she was wrestling, struggling to break free.

"TOROK!" She let out a desperate cry for help.

Torok could see the blood on her small form, whether or not it was hers, it no longer mattered as his body flew into a rage.

his senses didn't return to him until his hands were around the snapped neck of one of the men, Energy Sword in the other.

He let the man slip out of his hands and deactivated his sword, the sounds of Sierra's wrasping gasps for air filling his senses as he looked down at her.

She was covered in forming bruises, a black eye, cuts and scrapes, and gunshots in her right forearm and left leg, and a busted lip.

"YoU CaMe." She wheezed, coughing out a small amount of blood, making Torok's hearts ache at the sight as he dropped to the ground at her side.

"I said I was to stay there." He said, taking her face in his hand, looking over the same injuries over and over again.

Torok froze as her hand clasped his wrist to get his attention.

"They're coming, now... You need to get out of here." She said quickly as Torok too saw the convoy en route.

"Sierra-"

"Go!" She pleaded.

Torok was torn, but got to his feet, and fled into the tree line, activating his active camouflage as he watched her men arrive.
