Fwoosh!

The trip through the dimensional rift invoked a very peculiar sensation. It felt as if I was trapped in the middle of a fast forwarded movie scene. My surroundings were whizzing by in an indistinct blur of colors as I laid on my back, staring blankly off in the distance with no more tears left to cry. My right eyes is hurting like hell and I could still feel the blood flowing out of it, my right eye's vision very blurry that I couldn't see anything after a meter.

—Haaa

I released a long sigh. The ground I landed on cushioned my fall with a pile of leaves and vines. It didn't matter, though. Even if I landed on jagged rocks, I probably wouldn't have noticed.

She was gone...Just like my mom.

I would never have the chance to see her again. I hope I at least get that guy arm.

Those two thoughts triggered another wave of emotions as I heaved out dry sobs.

—Sob

I saw Art sitting while sobbing quietly alone a few feet away from me.

I began recalling the near three months we had spent together; how caring she was, treating me like her own blood. She was the person whom I want to stay with the most. Through the short time I had been with grandma Sylvia, she taught me so much and given me insight that I had been lacking since coming to this world.

—Swoosh!

I channeled mana into my storage ring, and brought out a bandage.

—Tear!

I tears the bandage and started covering it on my right eyes when I heard...

—«Sylvia! I'm here! Can you hear...»

Art is probably listening to the recording Sylvia left for him.

It took me a few minutes. By the time I finished bandaging my left eyes messily, Art also finished listening to the recording with a shocked face probably learning that Sylvia knew about his identity as 'Grey'.

I didn't know what Sylvia told Art but I could still guess some of it. In my fanfic, Sylvia told Art to have a good relationship with a white-haired boy that he will meet soon as he will be a strong ally in the future. But now? I didn't follow the plot and ended up meeting with Art and even Sylvia. I know that the plot won't change much other than a the fact that I have a stronger relationship with Art as a brother.

The plot that I have to deal with in Xyrus, like The Shadow will stay the same as I didn't visit Xyrus yet.

—«Hey Will, you good?»

Art suddenly asked me.

«Yeah, I'm fine. It's just that my left eyes won't work temporarily...*mumbles* or permanently»

I mumbled the last part but it probably entered Art's ears.

—«...well, that's bad. Let me help you do a proper bandaging...So what do what to do now, go home?»

Art asked while redoing my bandage.

«Home...? nah, I don't have it»

Yeah, I can't possibly call a place home when there's no one you loved there to greet you.

Art seemed to noticed that he accidently asked a sensitive question even to himself, so he quickly changed the subject.

—«Ah! Grandma Sylvia said that we would be near a human settlement, so let's find it.»
