Chapter 5
I ran my hand through my hair as I stared at my closet trying to figure out what to wear. Christopher came by a few minutes ago telling me to get dressed formally for some sort of dinner. It's been a month since I've been living with the Rosverts. I was starting to get closer to them day by day.
It's now August, a month left before school starts. I was excited about starting fresh but I wasn't sure about how I was going to be treated and handled amongst them. I’m sure all of the boys were popular. With they’re jaw-dropping looked, how could they not be?
I’m going to be going to be attending Ellington High Academy with Trent, Christopher, Dustin, Jordan, Aiden and Toby. Trent should’ve graduated last year but he failed his chemistry and physics exam therefore having to repeat the year; so he’s going to be the same grade as Christopher, the twins and I.
Worst thing about the school is that I’m going to have to wear uniforms. I never wore uniform as my previous school was completely uniform-free. I wasn’t looking forward for it but at least I won’t have to kill myself every morning to find myself an outfit to wear that wasn’t worn before; not that I’d have a problem with that judging my stocked closet.
Sighing, I focused my mind back on my current problem. You’d think that when you have a full closet, it would be completely easy for you to find something good to wear. Well tough luck, that isn’t going to happen anytime soon. It was so damn frustrating, especially when I didn’t know what the occasion was or where we were going to. I chose with going with a semi-formal dress. It was a sleeveless black dress and reached just above my knees, hugging my curves and cascading smoothly down my waist. It was simple yet elegant. I matched them with black heels and simple diamond earrings. I curled my hair and pulled it out of the way, sealing them at the back of my head with a black clip. I had simple makeup on, making sure to concentrate mostly on defining my eyes by marking them with some eyeliner just enough to show off my green eyes. I sprayed some perfume and grabbed my black clutch and headed downstairs.
By now I have memorized the basic routine from and to my bedroom, so I didn’t have much trouble getting myself lost. Halfway down the corridor, Trent appeared dressed in a tuxedo that hanged on to him like a second skin. He wore a green tie that brought out his eyes in the most mesmerizing way possible. His black hair was sleeked to the back making him look mature, which was a complete contrast of his actual character.
He scanned my appearance with lustful eyes while I recoiled slightly away from him, uncomfortable from his intense gaze. “You looked gorgeous,” he complimented, still looking at me fervidly. “Thank you,” I said, looking at the floor. He extended his arm for me to take, which I took hesitantly. The moment our arms touched, I heard a growl coming from behind us. I turned around, looking at a very pissed off Christopher.
He came closer to us and ripped my hand off Trent’s and held me tightly to him. Every time he touched me, I still felt the same sparks that made me have goose bumps all over my body, warming my soul. I still could put no explanation to this foreign feeling that I’ve grown too familiar with now. I looked at him confused, why was he acting so possessive and over-protective? He’s been doing that when he’s around and sees me with Trent or Dustin. I guess he didn’t want me to get too attached or something because Trent and Dustin might very well play with me because they’re known players or whatever.
Speaking of players, I kept my distance away from Damon and his constant flirting. I swear that boy never gave up and would never take no for an answer. Somehow I managed to stay away from him and his charm. Damon is a university student in Cambridge and he’s going to be leaving in a couple of weeks to check out his dorm and settle in to get ready for his new year.
