Chapter 7
-Christopher's P.O.V.-
I couldn't stop looking at her. She was the most beautiful human being I have ever laid eyes on and she was in my arms. My arms. Not Trent's or Damon's. Mine.
I was playing with her soft brown hair when I felt someone's gaze on me. I looked up, my eyes meeting with Damon's. As soon as our gazes connected, his eyes turned into slits. I raised one eyebrow at him, wondering why he was acting like that.
Amelia moved next to me, snapping me out of my little staring contest with Damon. She looked exhausted, it was clear as daylight on her face. Her eyes looked heavy and she was resting most of her weight on me as if her feet couldn't handle keeping her upright anymore.
"You okay?" I asked her, my voice coated with concern. "Yeah, I'm fine," she relied casually but I could see it in her eyes that she really wasn't.
I hugged her tightly to my side, squeezing her gently as a sign of affection. I kissed the side of her head and nuzzled my nose into her hair. She squirmed in my arms, giggling as I traced my nose down her neck.
"Stop it," she said, biting her lip. I groaned, she shouldn't have done that. It was taking me all my strength not to kiss her again in front of my family. I kissed her cheek gently, taking my time before I slowly pulled away.
"I'm taking Amelia home, it's been quite a day for her," I said to my parents. My mother nodded in agreement "I think all of us should head back home and take some well needed rest."
I nodded once, pulling Amelia with me gently towards the restaurant's front door. Heading out, the chilly breeze of London's air hit us, making Amelia shiver and I could faintly hear the chattering of her teeth.
I took off my jacket and put it around her shoulders. "Won't you be cold?" she asked concerned. "Don't worry about me sweetheart, I'm used to this weather." She nodded, accepting my answer and clutched to my jacket for her dear life.
I guided her to our awaiting limos and got inside. She sighed in relief, obviously glad to have the heater blasting in the car, warming up the atmosphere around us.
The rest of the family helped themselves into the limos in the same parties as they were on our way to the restaurant. This time, instead of laughter and chatter, everyone was quiet and staring at nothing in specific with no eye contact ever made.
I held Amelia closely to me, loving the feeling of having her in my arms. She rested her head on my shoulder and in that moment I was in absolute bliss, hearing her breathing even out as she drifted into sleep.

I woke up with a start. I breathed a sigh of relief when I found myself in my room. Panicking for a second, I looked down at my clothes and found that someone placed me just as I was last night and simply removed my shoes.
Memories of yesterday flashed through my mind. Images of Christopher and the little kiss we shared made my cheeks turn bright red and an unconscious smile formed on my face.
Shaking my head to clear my thoughts, I got out of bed and entered the bathroom. I did my morning routine, including a hot bath that relaxed my muscles. I got dressed in simple yoga pants and a tank top and headed down to the kitchen. Passing Trent's room, I placed my ear towards his door, trying to hear any movement inside but it was dead silent.
I frowned. Usually there would be at least the sound of something shuffling around or the faint beat of music. I shook off the strange feeling that started to build up in my stomach and continued my journey down to the kitchen.
