Blame game

"Abhimanyu beta, what happened that you youngsters did this?" Mimi asked trying to keep her voice gentle. Her life was so full of excitement either due to these girls or their parents. 

"I was not included" Kairav whined when he heard the youngsters comment. 

Vansh whacked the side of Kairav's head whispering angrily, "Not now, Kairav."

"It all started today morning when I learnt Aarohi had a MD exam in Delhi" Abhimanyu started and continued as he noticed all the senior's angry and confused faces. 

"So Neil and her went to the exam but they missed their flight but didn't want to miss their wedding so they married in Delhi itself and informed me and Akshu afterwards." 

One could literally see Manish and Harsh's face being so red that they were on the verge of exploding. 

"So, like the angel children that we are, Akshu and I decided to marry under the Gunghat and Sehara to preserve the Goenka's and Birla's reputation" Abhimanyu explained nodding his head as though he was convincing himself that it was the truth. 

Everyone scoffed at his last statement, him preserving the families reputation, What a Joke! everyone knew this man never missed a chance in getting Akshu closer in his life. 

Akshu couldn't stop her chuckles as said to her sister, "Did Dr. Abhimanyu just give the explanation like he gave a medical report?"

"And put all the blame on me and Neil in his eagerness to marry you, like he was any innocent" Aarohi exclaimed urging her sister to do some damage control. 

Abhimanyu as universally known mostly cares about his ladies, like this he didn't allow anyone to place even a little of blame on his Akshu but for him Aaru and Neil were fair game but he should have known that involving Aaru means involving Akshu inevitably. 

"What is the meaning of this Aarohi Goenka? You left your wedding for a exam?? Didn't you think about the family members?" Manish loudly shouted at Aarohi, who hid behind her sister. 

"Sir, ..." before Neil could speak a word, Akshu came to her sister's defense, "Bade Papa, you know na after Sirat's ma death the one thing that Aaru wanted to become a doctor so that no one would die in a road somewhere without medical attention. She lived her life for that dream and no, initially she did not want to go the exam because for her her wedding was important than her dream for today."

Akshu looked at everyone in their eyes as she spoke before looking at Aaru nestled in Neil's embrace, "But she got a life partner who knew her more than she knew herself. It was Neil who wanted her to give exam today. It was pure chance that they missed their flight or else nothing would have happened today. And it is not right to ask her choose between her career and family & love."

Neil looked at his Bhabhi with a smile on his face, she really was like a big sister to him too, "Akshara is saying correct, today was our wedding, and we did get married and we never were one's for extravagant wedding and I wanted my love's dreams to come true and not stop dreaming just because she is going to be a married woman."

Aarohi looked at her husband with watery eyes, she wanted a perfect man and by God's grace she got one that was perfect for herself. 

Akshu could see all the Goenka's were somehow subdued after Neil's speech except her Kairav Bhaiya. He really needs to understand sometimes that the sister mostly viewed him as an adult too and not a fun loving scheming brother most of the time who wanted to get involved in their plans. It was like asking Principal's help in breaking rules. They respected him too much for that.

But the Birla's reaction were whole another matter.
