Kit was sat on Tommy's bed, staring blankly at his phone. he had just got off a call and Tommy walked in. instantly he felt panic fill his body when he saw Kit's emotionless expression.

"Kit... you okay?" Tommy asked, cautiously, taking a seat by him.

Kit shrugged, staring down at his lap. "I dont know."

Tommy gently took his hand, "what happened."

Kit finally looked up with tears in his eyes, "my dad died last night... my real dad."

Tommy sighed and held out his arms for Kit to collapse into. Kit buried himself into Tommy's chest as the Brit held him tightly. Kit let out a shaky breath.

"how do you feel?" Tommy whispered, being careful with what he said.

"nothing." Kit mumbled, "I feel nothing." Kit confessed and looked up at Tommy, "I know he didn't want me and he hurt me but I always hoped he would change his mind. I thought he would want me back."

Tommy frowned and ran a hand through Kit's hair, "love..."

"why didn't he want me back?" Kit whispered quietly, a tear slipping down his face.

the next day, Kit was half asleep when Tommy brought him in his breakfast. he had ordered from Mcdonalds since cooking was exactly his expertise.

"hey, love. you doing okay?" Tommy said, sitting down with him and placing down the bag of food.

Kit looked up and nodded, "just tired."

"honestly?"

"honestly." Kit confirmed. "I thought I'd be more upset but I just remember how horrible he was to me. the world's better off with him gone."

"want a hug?" Tommy smiled softly.

Kit hummed, "hold me please."

"always." Tommy replied quietly, and wrapped his arms around him, "eat though please. you didnt eat yesterday."

"sorry." Kit mumbled, grabbing a hashbrow, "I didn't mean to get like this. just coming to terms with shit, y'know?"

Tommy sighed and kissed his forehead, "dont apologise. I'm here for you no matter what."
