JJ woke up with a jump, which quickly woke me up as well. "Everything alright?" I asked him. I quickly grew more concerned as I saw his face was soaked with tears. We both sat up, and I used my thumbs to wipe the tears from his face, careful around the still healing cuts. "Yeah, I'm alright," He said quietly. I heard a slight sniffle, and I quickly pulled him back into my arms. He pulled me so I was straddling his lap, his face buried in my shoulder while he cried. "Everything's alright," I quietly comforted him, my heart aching imagining what he had to go through right now. I checked my phone, at it was about 2:30 in the morning. I held onto him tightly, until he calmed down. "I'm sorry," He said, more tears falling from his face. "It's alright, it's not your fault," I said lightly rubbing circles into his cheek with my thumb. We sat staring into each others eyes for a few moments. "Your the best thing that's ever happened to me," He said, causing a huge grin to come across my face. "Well Maybank I've gotta do something with my life right?" I said jokingly, climbing off of him. He grabbed my hand, and we sat, leaned against the wall and staring into the sky.

"JJ?" I asked him. "Yeah?" He replied. "Do you ever get... panic attacks, or triggered?" I asked him. I knew that he had had a panic attack a few years back that was really bad, and that small things sometimes triggered him, but I didn't know all the details. "Yeah, I usually get small panic attacks when I think something happened to you, or JB or any of us. I had a really bad one a few months back when you and Kie went off on your boat without telling any of us, and didn't take your phones. It really stressed me out. I don't get triggered easily, but things like Lana's house that one morning, that was kinda bad, or a lot of yelling" he said to me. I nodded, appreciating him being this open with me. It wasn't something you usually saw with JJ. "I just want to make sure I can keep it from happening as much as possible," I said. "Thanks love," he said, squeezing my hand. It caught me off guard but I liked it.

"John B Pullin a Houdini" JJ said from the hot tub, while we put together the pully. I was sweating from the heavy lifting, while JJ leisurely walked over. "Yeah where is he? I got my scholarship interview in the morning, we gotta get this done," Pope said, while I lowered Kiara from the tree. "Speaking of the devil," I said, watching John B walk into his house. "Hey, I set up the entire way we should set up the gold and everything," JJ said. "No he didn't," Pope, Kie, and I all said simultaneously. "Don't believe them," JJ said, as we all followed him into the house. Clearly something was up.

He was looking for something. "You alright man? What's up?" Pope asked, standing behind him. "What are you looking for?" Kie asked. I already knew. "Hey what's going on man?" JJ asked. "John B," I said sternly, grabbing his arm. He shrugged out of my grip and found the gun. We all started freaking out. "Dude talk to us," I said as he pushed me out of the way. "John B chill!" Kie said, as he walked out of the way. JJ looked at me, silently making sure I was okay and we followed him.

"John B what the hell?" Kie yelled, while he revved the dirt bike. "Ward knows about the gold, he killed my dad," My heart dropped. I stumbled backwards into JJ's chest, and he held me steady. He took off quickly, giving us no time to stop him.

John B isn't the one who usually acts like this, this is a very JJ thing to do. I get it though, if Ward had killed my father I would be just as angry. Well you know if I had a good father.

JJ, Pope, and Kie all decided to take the Pouge and see if John B went to the Cameron's. "I think I'm gonna stay here incase he comes back," I said to the group while they climbed on the boat. Kie and Pope nodded their heads, and JJ walked up to me, turning us so his back was facing them. "Are you sure? We don't know what he's gonna be like when he gets back," JJ said, placing one hand on my shoulder and the other on my face. "Yeah, he's gonna need someone. I'll be fine, I promise," I said, putting my hand on top of his. He lifted out hands and gently kissed mine. "I'll see you later," He said to me. "Yep," I replied, watching as the three of them drove off.

"Kie? Pope? Layne?" I heard JB's voice echo through the house. I had fallen asleep on one of the hammocks, but quickly made my way inside. I found him leaning on the door frame of his bedroom, crying. "Hey," I said quietly. He turned around and I could see the tears filling his eyes. I quickly wrapped my arms around him, and let him cry into my shoulder. "I'm so so sorry," I said quietly in his ear.

I watched as John B placed the small raft with his fathers picture on it into the water. I placed a hand on his shoulder comfortingly. He placed his on top of mine. "Wanna say any words?" I asked him. He shook his head no. "You?" He asked. "Yeah," I said, hesitating for a moment trying to find the right words. "Thank you, for being there for me when no one else was," I said, watching as the raft drifted off.
