Chapter One: First day in the daycare!

POV: Y/n!

"Come on sweetie, it's time to wake up!" I hear as I slowly start waking up. I open my eyes to see Mom opening the curtains to my room, letting sunlight leak through. I sit up, rubbing my eyes. 

"Today's my first day at my new job, so we need to get going here soon so I'm not late, okay?" Mom says as I notice her dressed in a weird uniform. I get up out of bed, nodding. "Okay!" I say as I start walking over to my dresser to pick out clothes for today. I picked out an f/c shirt and some jeans to go with it. Mom walked out of the room to leave me to get ready. After I get dressed, I walk out of my room, walking down our hallway covered in pictures. Some have me and mom, some of me when I was a baby, and a few are our dog, Apollo. I reach the end of our hallway and see Mom setting a bowl of cereal on the table. The clinging of a collar catches my attention as Apollo rushes around the counter and runs to his food bowl, full of his kibble. I sit down and eat my breakfast as Mom sits down with me. 

"You do know I'm going to have to drop you off at my work, right? I can't watch you while I work, so the daycare there will keep an eye on you. The daycare assistant is nice, I'm sure you guys will get along great!" Mom says, looking at a book. In the mornings while I eat, if she isn't eating too, she reads a book. I nodded back, finishing my cereal and putting the bowl in the sink. "Okay! That works for me!" I say, walking to stand beside her. "Okay good! Are you all ready? Do you have anything else you need to grab before we leave?" Mom asks, and I shake my head no. We both then walk outside and get into her car, and she starts driving us to her work.

~Time Skip!!!~

We finally got to a big building, and I got out of the car. Mom and I walk inside, and she leads me to the daycare. Once we walk in the doors I see a statue of a Sun person, smiling widely with arms out, like reaching to give a hug. Mom walks me over to a slide and hugs me. "You just slide down and you get into the daycare. I have to go to work now, but you be good." I nod and she lets go of me, and I wave goodbye and slide down the slide. 

I feel lots of quick twists and turns, but I eventually get to the end and fall into a huge ball pit. I laugh, wanting to go and slide down again. I stand up and slowly make my way through the different colored plastic. I only take a few steps when I hear someone. I look up to see the sun person I saw walking through the doors on a balcony, and they dive down into the ball pit. They get covered as soon as they get close to the ground. I stand there for a minute, and then the person springs up right in front of me quickly.

"Hello, new friend! My name's Sundrop! What's your name?!" They say, excited. "Y/n!" I say happily. "Well, come on new friend! Let's go over here! Do you want to do some crafts or color? I have glitter glue, googly eyes, and lots of crayons!" Sun says, grabbing my hand and leading me to a table. There is sparkly glue everywhere. and googly eyes stuck to the table in random places. I grab a bottle of f/c glitter glue and some paper and start making shapes with the glue. Sun sat down beside me and watched me make my masterpiece. "Wow, that looks great, friend! Do you do crafts any?" he asks as I finish making a star shape. "Yeah, me and my mom do crafts all the time!" I say, smiling. He nods and I finish working on my glitter glue creation. 

~Time skip!~

After I finish my crafts, I stand up. Sun had walked off as more kids started showing up. I look around to try and find him, but all I see are kids running around everywhere. Since I can't find Sun, I should make new friends, right? Some kids were playing tag, so I walked up to them. "Hi! I'm Y/n!" I spoke. They all looked at me and walked away. "Alright... Oh well, I don't need to play with anyone else anyways." I said out loud, more to myself than anyone. The daycare had huge playground areas, so I decided I wanted to explore the areas. I walked into the closest foam structure and started walking up to the second level. I took a few turns and realized I didn't know my way out. I started getting scared, realizing that I went inside by myself and that no one would know I was in there. Tears flood my eyes and I lay down and curl up in a ball.

After a few minutes, I heard the ringing of bells. I sat up, looking around, trying to find out where the sound was coming from. After a minute, Sun walks around a corner. "Oh, new friend! There you are!" He speaks. He looks at me for a minute and then rushes to me, hugging me. "Did you get lost? I'm sorry, I should have made sure to stay with you." I heard him say, and he picked me up and started walking through the play structure. I hear bells ringing again, and I realize that he has ribbons on his bracelets on his wrists. The bracelets were red, made of ribbon. Little bells were attached to where the ribbon was tied in a bow. "Those are so that way kids always know where I am! If they can't see me, they can hear me. I also have some on my shoes!" I looked down and saw bells attached to the end of his shoes. Sun stopped walking and started shuffling his shoes around. I laughed, and he started walking again. We finally got out of the foam fortress and kids started swarming us. Sun sat me down and grabbed my hand. "Alright, who wants a puppet show?!" Sun shouts excitedly. All the kids start screaming happily and run away. Sun leads me to where all the kids ran to. There was a bright yellow box that almost looked like a castle, and all the kids were sitting around it. Sun let go of my hand and went behind the box.

The curtains opened, and puppets began a show. I watched as the puppets ran across the stage, and I eventually fell asleep.
