Chapter Eight: Mr. Moony

~Small recap since it's been a while: You said you were hungry, so Sunny decided he was going to take you to get concessions. Little did you both know; the security guard bots had noticed you were there after hours and took you from Sun. Recap over~

POV: 🌙Mr. Moon🌙

Those damn bots...

Moon! Language!

You're seriously more worried about that right now?

Moony, you know it's against the boy's programming to harm anyone. Y/n will be fine!

... I don't care. They took Y/n from us.

Sun went quiet after that... which is odd, he's normally talking or contradicting my statements with his optimism. I finally regained my focus and realized the bot is still within sight, and Y/n is pulling away. I start to sprint at my full speed, not caring if I'm not leaving any room for surprise.

"Mr. Moon! I don't wanna go!" I hear Y/n scream between sobs, and I watch as they fall to their knees. The security bot still holds its grip and drags them along.

That's entirely against programming! The bots aren't even supposed to hold onto visitors, yet the damn thing is pulling them. That's going to hurt them.

I push myself even harder than I thought possible and tackle the bot. It repeats in a robotic, monotone, and glitchy voice "Ɇɽɽøɽ, ɇɽɽøɽ, ɇɽɽɽɽɽɽøøøøø- ɇɽɽøɽɽɽɽɽɽɇɽɽɽɽɽ"

Moon, stop! ... ... ..

I hear Sun trying to talk, but my focus immediately goes back to the helpless bot. I dig into its arms and begin tearing, and there is a metallic screeching sound, then a loud pop as the arm breaks off. A loud crackling noise comes from the wiring sparking.

Hahahahaha! You should learn some manners!

Moon! Stop! Y/n is watching!

I finally snap back into reality and hear loud sobbing. I turn and see Y/n trembling, holding their hands to cover their mouth. The sleeves on their long sweater are pulled down slightly, and I see bruising in the shape of a handprint. I immediately drop the arm I didn't realize I was still holding, stood upright and rushed towards Y/n

"Oh, my little Starlight, are you alright? I am so sorry" I speak and pull them toward me. They cried even harder, even though I didn't think it was physically possible.

"Mr. Mo- Moo- Moony, I w-w-w-was so scared-d-d-d! " They gasp between sobs, and I hold them tighter. I should have never let them go... all this could have been avoided if I had just taken over sooner...

Moony, relax, it's okay now. Y/n is with us now, that's all that matters.

I feel myself begin to shake, realizing how that could have ended. What if I hadn't gotten there in time? They could have gotten hurt worse...

Moony, let me take over again... you aren't stable...

I'm doing fine. Let me be.

I scoop Y/n's shaking body up in my arms and begin walking back to the daycare. I make sure to not let go of them again. I will never allow that to happen again.

As soon as we got back inside the daycare, I walked towards the nap area and sat down, not wanting to let Y/n go again. Their crying slowed and they are now breathing slowly, sleeping peacefully.

Moony, lay them down. Please, you're trembling.

I look down and notice that my arms are indeed shaking, hardly having a good grip on Y/n. I lay them down and stand up, stepping away. I make sure I am at a good enough distance before I collapse, curling up in a shaking ball. I rock back and forward, somehow with uneven breathing.

Moony! No, no! Just breathe! It's okay! Do you want a hug? Hugs always make everyone feel better!

Sun, no...

Moon... Listen to me. Look at them. Stop and just look at them.

I look upwards and look at Y/n, who is curled up holding a Sun plushy in one arm and a Moon plushy in the other. Their breathing was still slow, and they were faintly smiling. I sit upright, my breathing finally becoming steady again.

See Moon? Everything is okay now. You could not have done anything better than what you did to ensure their safety. They're alright.

I nod in agreement.

I was simply scared, that's all...

I know Moony. Everyone gets scared sometimes. I promise fear is a normal response, especially in a situation like that.

Finally standing upright again, I go and sit beside Y/n. The speakers in the daycare are softly playing one of the many songs that they play during the night, and it reverberates around the daycare. (This is the song: just in case the time thingy doesn't work, start at 24:39!) I look down at Y/n seeing them sleep soundly. I faintly hum to the song, finally completely relaxing.

Wait, what happened to their food???

Oh, uh, you kinda threw it as soon as you took over....

Oh... they still need to eat something...

I know what I can do... can I take over for a few? I promise they will be okay, and as soon as I'm done you can take back over.

Yeah, go ahead...

I feel Sun taking over and I just relax, still sitting beside Y/n, finding comfort now that they are safe.

POV: Sunny!

I get control again and send a message to Freddy (like how Freddy would Greggory through the Fazwatch, just instead of it going to the watch it would go directly to Freddy) asking if he can go to the concessions and get more of the food that Y/n ordered. I told him to bring it into the daycare so that me and Moon both can still stay here with Y/n while they rest.

You know that they are going to shut everything down as soon as they see the bot? What are we going to say?
Well, they will be able to get into the interface and see everything that happened. It will be nothing incriminating on our end. Yes, they will see that we were the ones who did it, but they will also see why it happened.

Yeah, that is true.... At least everything is okay now.
