Last time on Total Drama Island...

Twenty-three campers arrived and learned that they'll be spending the next eight weeks at a crusty old summer camp. The campers were faced with their first challenge, jumping off a cliff into shark-infested waters. And while most campers took the plunge, a few were forced to wear the dreaded chicken hat. At the campfire ceremony, it all came down to two campers. Courtney has experience as a C.I.T. in summer camp, but refused to jump. And Ezekiel managed to tick off every female contestant at the camp with his sexist comments about women. In the end, the first camper voted off Total Drama Island was Ezekiel, proving that homeschooling and reality TV don't really mix. Who will be voted off this week in the most dramatic campfire ceremony yet? Find out tonight on Total. Drama. Island!

A loud horn blasted in my ears, and I let out a groan. Burying my head into my pillow, I sighed. These beds were already uncomfortable to sleep on, and I definitely did not need an alarm to contribute to my frustration.

"Ow! It's seven in the morning! Do I look like a farmer to you?" Leshawna yelled out our window, and I sat up, stretching my arms over my head.

"I wouldn't give him any ideas, Leshawna. Next minute you know, we're shoving hay for Chef." I muttered, and the girl laughed.

"If the guy knows what's good for him, he wouldn't try it, sugar." She smirked, and I laughed along with her.

Stepping outside the cabin, I yawned. Adjusting my eyes to the morning light, I saw a few campers already awake and surrounding Chris. I made my way down the steps, rolling my stiff shoulders.

"Morning! Hope you all slept well!" Chris exclaimed to the few of us who were there, and he received a muttered, incoherent response.

"[Y/N]! I really love your outfit this morning!" Heather smiled, and I smiled back.

"Thanks! It's nothing different to what I normally wear." I shrugged, glancing down at my attire. A [F/C] polo, denim jeans, and sneakers. It seemed almost perfect for a camp-like scenario.

"Okay. I hope you're all ready because your next challenge begins in exactly one minute." Chris held out a watch, and my stomach whined in protest.

"[Y/N]'s right, where's breakfast?" Owen asked, his eyes cautiously locked on the host.

"Oh, you'll get breakfast, Owen. Right after you complete your twenty kilometres run around the lake!" Campers groaned, and the girl on the other side of me, Eva, sneered at the host.

"Oh, so you're funny now? You know what I think would be funny?" Before the girl could lurch at Chris, I grabbed on tightly to her left arm. Duncan grabbed the right, and Geoff stood in front, making sure she couldn't reach him.

"You're enjoying this, aren't you?!" Eva yelled over the top of Geoff at Chris, and I tightened my grip.

"Eva, calm down!" I instructed, and hesitantly, the girl stopped restraining. Duncan and I dropped out holds, sending each other a grin of success.

"Okay, runners! On your marks, get set, go!" The sounds of footsteps echoed around me, and I began jogging.

"Hey, [Y/N]! Slow down so we can run together!" I glanced back to see a struggling Cody, and I slowly came to a brisk walk to let him catch up.

"Come on, Cody! We need to win this for the team!" I stated, and as he jogged up to me, I could hear him struggling for breath.
