Last time on Total Drama Island...
The Killer Bass finally dodged their pathetic losing streak against The Screaming Gophers. There were bruises, tears, risky moves, and dangerous alliances. And in the end, it was Noah the know-it-all who didn't see it coming. This week, another challenge will send one more camper on a cruise to Loserville. Population: Four. Who will sink? And who will stay afloat? Find out right now on Total. Drama. Island!
Cuddled under the thin sheet that covered my body, I let out a soft sigh. I'd finally been able to get enough sleep after the Awake-A-Thon, and things had been pretty quiet since the last challenge.
"Okay. This is so way beyond bad. I'm out of fake tanner already!" A voice piped up from across the room, and the lids of my eyes drew open. Lindsay held a bottle in her hand, holding it upside down and shaking it violently.
"Whoa, that's tragic, Lindsay." Gwen muttered, and I could feel her shift from underneath me. Being bunkmates with Gwen was awesome.
"Now I have to actually, like, suntan. In the sun! Do you realize how shrivelled and wrinkly that can make your skin?" Lindsay paused, staring at Gwen. "Oh, you totally do." As Lindsay left the cabin, I heard Gwen groan. Slipping out of the covers, I jumped down from the top bunk.
"You know, I am surprised how well Lindsay is handling this situation. She doesn't seem to be the outdoorsy type." I met Gwen's gaze, and I let out a soft chuckle.
"What?" She queried, giving me an odd look.
"You've got cute bed hair!" I stated, motioning to a chunk of hair that seemed to curl. Very out of place due to Gwen's naturally straightened locks. I saw her face go red, quickly trying to brush the curl out with her fingers. A loud noise played over the speakers, causing us both to jump slightly.
"All right, campers! Enough beauty sleep! Time to show us what you're made of!" Chris' voice was crackly over the megaphones, and I shook my head.
"It's too early for this." Gwen muttered.
"Are we gonna see a musical? I love musicals. Especially the ones with singing and dancing!" I heard Lindsay pipe up as I made my way over to the seats. I saw Trent motion me over to him.
"[Y/N]! Saved you a seat." He smiled, and I took a seat beside him.
"Thanks, Trent!" I beamed, before feeling someone beside me on the originally empty seat.
"Morning, [Y/N]! How you doing?" Cody queried, and I heard Trent let out a small groan.
"I'm good! Definitely recovered from the Awake-A-Thon!" I laughed softly, and Cody joined in.
"Welcome to our brand new deluxe state-of-the-art outdoor amphitheatre! Okay, this week's challenge is a summer camp favourite. A talent contest!" Chris chimed in, and I turned my gaze to the host. A talent contest?
"Yes! Awesome!" I heard Owen speak from behind me, his voice chirpy. Chris motioned him to quiet down.
"Each team has eight hours to pick their three most talented campers. . ." Chris began, being interrupted by Katie and Sadie letting out a squeal. ". . . These three will represent them in the show tonight. Sing, dance, juggle. Anything goes, as long as it's legal." Chris sent to a look to Duncan, and I saw him snap his fingers. "You'll be judged by our resident talent scout, former DJ, VJ, and rap legend, Grand Master Chef, who will show his approval via the Chef-o-Meter." Chef wheeled out an old box. It was very broken down, that was for sure. "The team that loses will send one camper home tonight. Good luck!" With that, Chris left, leaving us to our teams.
