Are you fine shehnaaz? he inquired as soon as he saw her injured state

Zain made her stand while holding her shoulder, shehnaaz was too shocked to comprehend what is happening around otherwise she would have never allowed any outsider to touch her

Zain was just looking at shehnaaz with concern his gaze shifted to the voice he heard just now

What's happening here asked sidharth in a rough cold tone eyeing shehnaaz and zain, he kept glare them until zain left

Shehnaaz who was stunned till now jerked zain's hand from her shoulder her eyes shone with unknown emotions

Zain left from there being afraid of Sidharth's anger and wrath

His mother ran to sidharth and embraced him bursting into tears
"Where were you sidharth? Why were you not responding to my calls? What..... " She cried harder without completing another question

"Mom, please I don't want to talk about anything, all that should matter to you is I am here all fit and fine," sidharth said while pecking her forehead

He got occupied with Hayat, Dadi, and his mother, without paying heed to the fragile innocent bruised girl who is feeling guilty on her last action

Her steps involuntary moved towards sidharth, which halted by her mother in law's venomous words
"Where do you think you are going? Have some shame burdensome girl,"

She felt awful, still, she had some foreign contentment in her heart she is feeling light, as some enormous weight has been wiped out from her heart, her eyes were melancholic and teary but today that teary eyes have a sparkle 

Hey! Have you turned deaf? I said you to leave..... Hayat interrupted her mother in between

"Mama Bhai has arrived safe and sound now leave her, please"

"Whatever, ask her to not show her evil face" mother in law scoffed in pure hatred

Shehnaax eyes were fixed on only one person who always indirectly defended her from his mother wrath and resentment, now paying no interest in what is happening with her
He remained cold and stern devoid of any emotion

Did she hurt him way too much, the only thing that strike her mind

He departed to his room, drowning in his own thinking, least inquisitive about his surroundings

Shehnaaz entered the room, sidharth was sitting at the edge of the bed holding his head in his hand

But as soon as he sensed shehnaax presence in the room he got up and left the room without glancing at her

She felt hurt, why she didn't know, but her heart churned when he neglected to her

At Dinner

Everyone was having their meals involved in the conversation

"Sidharth you have no idea how much I missed you, I have already lost one, I don't dare to lose you" his mother sob

He pressed her hand assuring her about his well being

"Mom, I am here only, please make me your handmade tea, it's been a long having it" sidharth requested his mother in an attempt of uplifting her mood

They were having their dinner while chitchatting about anything and everything that happened in the span of two months, oblivious of pair of naive eyes who came there for dinner after a long- waiting, well who was she fooling, herself only. she knew nobody would call her unless they have some work for her

She could sense an intense gaze over her back, turning around she found  everyone in their world disregarding her presence, shrugging her suspicions of someone gazing at her she turned to leave, but her steps halted when she heeded her name

"Sidharth do you know that girl shehnaaz, she is not what she appears to be," mother law remarked

Shehnaaz stilled at her place to know how does she appear to them which is nothing but a facade in her mother-in-law's eyes

Sidharth raised his brow while savoring the tea

"Mom, can't we be involved in a healthy and productive chat" he resisted listening to anything related to her

Shehnaaz felt hurt her sanity was fine with what he said, but her heart wanted him to express curiosity and concern over her name's mention,
Her heartache when he gives no ear about her when he gives no eyes to her presence.

Wait! Wasn't she the one who pushed him, when he tried to make things work
  
"Sidharth it's about zain and shehnaax" his mother insisted him listen to her

His brows collided in confusion, restlessness could be seen in his eyes and body

Zain?? He inquired

"Yes son you saw him today only, he had come frequently in these two months"

"And You let him in, despite knowing how much I despised him" sidharth scoffed in irritation, trying to remain calm and composed

"He used to come to meet shehnaax not us," she said skeptically 

"I have caught them red-handed, but what he said left me off guard " his mother instigate him

"Please be precise what exactly he said" he state annoyingly

His mother rolled eyes before continuing
"He said that only shehnaaz can help him with what he wants"

"And your wife also did not tell me what kind of help she was delivering him"

His mother continued denouncing shehnaax

"Didn't you ask us to not talk to him and stay away from him, wasn't she there? Didn't she listen to you? " she tried to provoke him against shehnaaz

"Today only you saw how close they.....

"Mom I'm sleepy, you also take a rest" he cut her without letting her complete
