6 months later
At hospital bed, a figure is lying lifelessly, several wires were attached to her skinny pale hands, oxygen mask on her face
"When will she be fine?" Anxiously lady cried, striding towards the doctor coming out of I.C.U
Doctor: "We are trying our best, can't say anything, we have done every possible thing, her body isn't responding to any medicine "
"You have been saying this for four months," a muscular man said in a rough tone, gaining everyone attention there
"It's a suicide case, sir, her being alive and taking a breath is itself a miracle, have patience and pray for her" the doctor politely explained to that man
"She was happy when she got married how did that happen" the lady wept in grief
"Did you locate them? Where have they left after making my daughter's life hell " the lady inquired bitterly
"Not, yet!! Soon they will be caught and will be punished for the acts they did to the innocent soul" the man uttered sternly with the void expression
"Sidharth, son!! do something please bring my daughter back " his mother sobbed in his arm
"Mom!! I am trying, very soon our Hayat will be okay, she is just fooling us around " sidharth uttered with difficulty eying towards ICU
"Why??" His mother said unexpectedly out of nowhere
Sidharth sighed helplessly
Why us? why her? whyyyy my daughter??? Why???? What have we done to get this in return?? She cried hysterically in her son's arms
"Sidharth we did right with her? She was not innocent right?? " mother asked looking at sidharth with hopeful eyes
He remained silent, as he had nothing to say
Right or wrong he himself is not aware of, he did what he thought was right, who knows was it actually appropriate or notSidharth stayed cold and composed, he didn't let his composure go, his strong facade didn't slip for once, he can't show his vulnerability to anyone, not even himself.
"Sidharth, did you try to know what was there in between them," his mother asked frighteningly
He didn't answer any of the queries, because he did not even once try to know the truth, the decision he took at that time can't be undone by knowing the reality, rather it will complicate things more, he will lose all his stability and resilience if he got wrong this time.
He looked down at her mother who was crying on his steel hard chest, he slightly pushed her and coldly said
"A man reaps what they sow, what we did with her was the outcome of what she did to our trust and generosity, she was worth deserving of what she had"
His mother sat in a nearby seat kept looking at the I.C.U room
Sidharth's Pov
She got what she deserved, I didn't listen to mom, but how can my own eyes delude me.
I have seen her with my eyes, how comfortable she was in his arm, with him calling her, talking with her late at night, with him in his house, how can I let go
I am not the shameless man who will tolerate his wife with a man other than him
************"********
"She reaped what she sows," he said coldly not to anyone particularly before he leaves"Sir patient has regained her consciousness," the doctor said coming out of I.C.U
Her mother sobbed in happiness looking towards the top with gratefulness
"Thank God"
"But you said she wasn't responding" sidharth responded to the sudden news
"Yeah she wasn't, but now she did "the doctor described
At I.C.U ROOM
"Why you did do this beta?" Asked mother to Hayat while caressing her banded head lovingly
"Mom, my child, is the baby okay," Hayat asked keeping her hand on the abdomen as if trying to feel the life inside
"Bhai! My baby isn't illicit, it was his baby, how could he disown his own child " Hayat wept like crazy
"Hayat shhh!! Relax mere bety, bhai will make everything alright " sidharth tried to comfort her
She tried to get up "Bhai call him he misunderstood me Bhai, please call him, tell him the baby is only his " Hayat cried clutching Sidharth's hand tightly
"Hayat will you explain, what compels you to take this drastic step," her mother asked her sternly
"Mom, let her rest for a while," sidharth said sensing his mother's losing her temperament
"No, she is fine, she has to elucidate the life-threatening stunt she pulled and made our life torment, why are you quiet now?" His mother accusingly yelled at Hayat
Hayat turned her head unable to take her mother accusation and wrath
"Mom, I did that to save my chastity" Hayat whispered slowly in pain
Sidharth and his mother frowned at her with confusing eyes
"Mom, Bhai you know we got married without your and his family's consent, you forgave us but they didn't,
His mother always taunt me and find faults in my works, I tried every possible thing to win her heart" Hayat hiccupped letting tears flow her eyes
"Hassan didn't support you?" His mother asked wiping Hayat's tears
"He did support me but he came to his mother's talk and he misunderstood me, I almost got fainted when his cousin assisted me to stand, but bhai!!".... Hayat tried to control her sobs
"Bhai Hassan took it all wrong and... And he without listening to me kicked me out of the house, I begged him to listen to me, I... I told him about child but.... He called his own child ..."
She choked in tears and couldn't complete........
Sidharth was lost in somewhere.......
