Today was a beautiful day. It was December and it was snowing a lot outside. I loved the Canadian winter. (A/N: you live in Canada by the way) Most people would say this kind of weather was terrible but I loved this kind of weather. I was going over my best friend Y/N's house for lunch to catch up and see each other before Christmas, which was four days away...

--Your POV--
I'm really excited today because my best friend Mikey is coming over for lunch to catch up before Christmas. I always had a crush on him but I'm a shy person so I never made a move. I was hoping that by the end of this year he would make a move but since it's the 21st of December, I highly doubt he is going to make a move by the time the year is over.

--His POV--
I walked up to her door and hesitantly knocked on it. I was finally going to tell her how I feel. You can do this, Mikey. She opened the door and there she stood, looking effortlessly beautiful as always. She never wore makeup because she didn't like the idea or the feeling of it but she was just naturally beautiful. "Hi, Mikey. Come on in!" She said, excitement visible in her voice. "Hi, Y/N."
"What would you like to drink or eat?"
"Would you mind if u have a cup of coffee?"
"No, not at all. I will make it right now."
"Thank you."
"You are very welcome." She said with a smile.
"So how are you?"
"I'm good. My job is providing me well. How about you?"
"The band is well. We go on tour next year."
"Cool. Are you touring anywhere near here?"
"Yes. We are stopping in Toronto, Winnipeg, Vancouver, Quebec, Calgary, and Nova Scotia."
"Cool. I will try to make one of those dates."
"Actually, for your Christmas present I got you tickets and backstage passes to the Calgary show since you live in Calgary."
"Oh my god are you frickin kidding me?!?!?"
"No, In fact, I have them right here." I pulled them out of my jacket pocket and handed them to her.
"Here is your coffee by the way."
"Thank you. Here are your tickets."
"Thanks. Here's your present." You handed him a box that had a picture of Iron Maiden preforming onstage that had been signed by the whole band and framed.
"Oh my god! Am I seeing this correctly?!?!"
"If you see and autographed picture of Iron Maiden, then yes you are seeing it correctly."
"Oh my god thank you so much!"
"Anytime!"
After talking for what felt like hours, Mikey had to leave for band practice.
"Before I go, I was wondering would you like to go to dinner tomorrow night, say maybe 7?"
"Sure! I don't have any plans so yes."
"Great. I'll pick you up at 7."
"7 it is. Bye!"
"Bye."
You slid down the front door with happiness. I guess he really would make it by the end of the year...
