You had just moved to Sydney, Australia, and to be honest, you were somewhat scared an nervous. You didn't have many friends back home because you were shy but you had some friends you would miss. "(y/n) could you help me unpack please?" Your mum called down to you from upstairs. "Yes, mum." You called up to her. After you finished unpacking, your mum said to explore the neighborhood. You got out a pair of black jeans and your Emblem3 shirt and put them on. You put in your earbuds and played, "Heart Out" by The 1975. You loved music a lot and The 1975 were one of your favorites. You turned the corner and saw a boy about your age. He was wearing a blue zip-up hoodie with light blue jeans. As you walked closer, some of his friends, who had a similar style to his, starting to look at you. You waved to all of them. "Hi, are you the new girl who moved in down the street?" The boy you first noticed asked you. "Yes we just moved in today." "Oh welcome to the neighborhood." "Thank you." "Would you like to play a game of football with us?" "American football or soccer?" "Soccer." "Ok I'm in." You put you phone in your jeans pocket and your earbuds in your sweatshirt pocket. "Ok, Calum is goalie, Luke is on offense, I'll be defense, and what position do you want to be?" "I'll play defense, of that's alright." "Yeah sure." You guys started playing until the sun went down at 8 PM. "Well I have to get going my mum is probably wondering where in the hell I am." "Ok we will see you tomorrow, if you're around." "I'll be around." "Ok bye."
-skip three years ahead-
It was the week of senior prom and no one had asked you, like you had predicted. "Hi Mikey" You said to your neighbor, Michael Clifford. "Hi, (y/n), would you mind if I asked you a question?" "No not at all." "May I take you to prom?" "You want to take me to prom?" "Yes why not?" "I just thought no one would ask me." "Well you thought wrong."
And that was the start to a beautiful, strong relationship.
