Monday came, and I decided to take a relaxing shower and skip school. I handed my biology homework to Bella, so she could pass it on to the teacher, and she agreed to do so.
I spent most of the day reading the book I bought with Bella a while ago and finished it by noon. She came home at 3 and immediately went out with Edward, which she informed me about. In the kitchen, I pondered what to make for dinner since I had nothing else to do. I settled on making white sauce pasta with extra cheese. Suddenly, I heard someone call Bella's name from outside and knock at the door. Irritated, I opened the door to find Jacob Black standing there.
"She's not home. No one is," I informed him, ready to close the door immediately. But he knocked again.
"What?" I asked, annoyed.
"Can I come in?" he asked.
"I don't know when she'll be back. I'll tell her to call you when she does," I said.
"I am not staying in for her. I wanted to talk to you," he explained.
"So Bella was just an excuse?" I raised my eyebrows.
"No, I do want to talk to her, but... see, if you don't want me here, I'll just leave, alright?" he said.
"Fine, then. See ya," I told him and began to close the door, but he stopped it.
"I want to just talk about that day, Y/N. Please," he requested, and I reluctantly let him in."So, what were you doing?" he asked, attempting to have a chat.
"Not really a time for small talk, Jake. Get to it," I snapped.
"Okay. Well... You know I have feelings for Bella, but she's practically head over heels for that... bloodsucker," he said cautiously, slipping in insults when he got the chance. "But you..." He stopped, seemingly unsure of what to say next.
"Learn your script properly next time," I said with a bitter chuckle. I looked at him, and he was fuming. He backed me against the kitchen counter, and I let out an inaudible gasp, feeling scared. The tension in the air was horrifying. I couldn't think of anything to say. My mind went blank."Take your time then," I said in a whisper. Jacob laughed coldly, and his hands glided from my wrist to my shoulders and then to my waist. Goosebumps formed all over my body. Before I could think straight, I pulled Jacob by his collar and kissed him. What is wrong with me? He cupped my face with his hands, and we broke the kiss. I led him to the couch in the living room and straddled his lap, resuming our kiss. His hands wandered all around my back, and mine wandered his chest. He let out a small moan, almost inaudible, but it encouraged me to continue. We were so lost in each other that we didn't realize someone had entered the house. Jacob's tongue grazed my lips, asking for permission, and I allowed it. He was gentle, to the point where I started to think he might have feelings for me too, but deep down, I knew that wouldn't be the case. For now, I let him shamelessly use me to distract himself from his feelings for my older sister.
"Bella..." Jacob moaned, and my eyes opened wide. I got off his lap, like two similar poles of a magnet repelling each other.
"Shit," he whispered.
"I should have fucking known! Fuck you, Jacob Black! Here I thought you might reciprocate my feelings from how gentle you were being to me, but there you are, just using me! How could you? You knew I have had feelings for you since the start, didn't you? You knew I would be absolutely delighted if you'd kiss me. But of course, your anger issues and lack of a brain! You could have told me you don't like me! You could have told me the truth! Why did you decide to lead me on?! I am Bella's sister, not a distant friend; I'd know the second you'll confess to her! Ugh. GET OUT!" I rambled on and on, unable to find a clear sentence to express my anger and frustration with Jacob right now. It was so frustrating. I raised my fingers from low to high, signaling him to stand up, and he was shocked to see this... oh yeah, right, he didn't know, but I didn't care enough about that."What the-" was all he could say. His face was red with humiliation and guilt. "Oh, save it," I spat and dragged him out of the door. "I hope we never see each other again, Jacob," and I slammed the door shut.
I stomped up to my room and waved my hand in a gentle swish, making dinner ready in seconds. But I wasn't ready for the next day. I stared at the ceiling, feeling tears slowly trail down my face and onto the pillow. Of course, I was crying again. Of course, I had spent my emotions on a guy who chose my sister over me, again.
