Chapter 21 The Question

Your POV

"I will find you"

I jumped up, waking to those words. I awoke in the middle of a meadow, it was pitch black with the moon high, It was still night. I guess I didn't knock out that long.

'What happen??' I asked myself.

I replayed the events that happened.

'Oh yea... I told you so' I mentally lectured about myself. I got up, my pants was scratch and my legs were bleeding.

A small amount of blood, trickled from my head. My chest felt more and more heavy each step I took, getting closer to the headquarters, knowing that Levi would be there. I winced at my legs, they were sore plus bleeding.

"Wow my past was hell" I said to myself as I remembered my past, when my uncle raped me.

"I'm not so sure if I want my memories back anymore" I sighed, my eyes were felt puffy, it was probably from all the crying.

I finally had made back to headquarters, some lights were on but everybody was still at the party. I knocked on the door, after a minute or two, a cadet opened the door for me.

"Man, what the hell happened to you" He said, looking at my knees.

"I fell down" I said bluntly, and walked off before he asked other questions. I changed into different clothes, grabbed a blanket and walked up to the roof.

Of course nobody would be on the roof because the squad leaders forbid it. But right now I didn't care, I needed time alone, and cried out the remaining parts of my heart. I laid on the floor, looking at the stars. It didn't take long for me to cry.

I began weeping, crying that I was rape at such a young age, crying that Levi didn't love me back, I was crying for me.

"Oi!!! Open the fucking door" A voice yelled out.

My heart skipped a beat, but it also crippled up at the sound of his voice.

I peeked my head over the ledge and saw Levi pounding on the front door. The same cadet opened the door for him.

"Did you see cadet L/n ??!!" He demands.

"Y-Yea S-She went to the roof" The cadet stammers. Levi looks up, I quickly duck down, but was no use. He had already seen me.

"Cadet L/n, I'm not fucking stupid. You better not move from that spot, I'm coming" Levi yells.

I panicked, I was not in the state to see Levi. I looked around, there's was no way down except the door that I came from. I looked down over the ledge, vines grew on the stone wall, a tree stood by the building. It was a couple feet away.

'If I run and jump far enough, I can make it' I quickly thought. I didn't care about the risks, with my heart broken. I was already dead but living corpse.

I sudden heard loud footsteps running up the stairs, I kicked off the handle, so the door couldn't open. A large thud hit the door.

"Shit! F/n listen to me" Levi yells while pounding the door, trying to open it

"I need you to hear me out!!" He yells through the door.

A tear came running down my cheek, I wanted to break down and cry. But I couldn't risk looking at Levi right now. I ran towards the tree and jumping over the ledge, one of my hands grabbed a branch but the other didn't.

'Damn no!' I thought.

My grip lost its hold, and I fell. My back hit into another branch. My face met the ground, I spat out dirt from my mouth.

~ CRASH ~

I hear the door burst open from above, he must've kicked it open.

"Shit where the hell did you go now" I hear him say. I quickly dived into the bushes, before Levi sees me.

I watch him ran up to the ledge, I hold my breath. His eyes scans the tree and bushes but it's too dark to see me.

"SHIT!!!" He kicks the ledge and palms his head then turns around and runs off somewhere, yelling my name.

'I had to hurry or he'll find me' I stood up, my legs were heavy, I was having a hard time breathing again. I walked while leaning my body on the wall, making my way to the stables.

"F/n?" A voice sneaked up behind me.

I turned around and saw Sam, I breath out in relief that it wasn't Levi.

"What's wrong? Why are you crying?" He asked.

"It's nothing" I said quietly, I try walking away. I felt my eyes become more watery, Sam grabs my hand and pulls me into a tight embrace.

"You can't fix a problem by running away" Sam strokes my hair. I cried into his chest. He kisses my eyelids, and wipes away my tears. I feel my heart being sewed back, little by little.

'I guess if Levi doesn't love me, I'll move on with Sam' I sighed.

'I don't want to move on... But Levi doesn't love me' Another tear drip down.

"Are you feeling better?" Sam asks

"Yea, thanks. You're an awesome boyfriend" I wrap my arms around his neck and hugged him.

'I can't believe I was such a whore, falling inlove with Levi when Sam is my boyfriend. I learned my lesson, I'm being loyal to him and only him. Only if he'll still want me' I thought.

"I...... I need to tell you something" Sam says quietly.

"What?" I cocked my head sideways. Instead of answering my question, he takes my hand and brings me to the cafeteria, it was crowded. Everybody came back from the party.

Sam let's go of my hand and stands on the table.

"Everybody please be quiet!" Sam yells, the crowd grows silent. I see a glimpse of Levi pushing through the crowd, I take a step back, planning on running away. But Sam takes my hand.

I see Levi in front of the crowd now, my heart's racing, I need to get away. But Sam asks me something.

"F/n L/n Will you marry me?"
