Chapter 22 Rejection

Your POV

"F/n L/n Will You Marry Me?"

My mouth gapped open, Sam went on his knees and brought out a small box. As he opens it a purple butterfly diamond shape ring. Everybody in the room gasps, admiring the stunning ring.

"How... How did you afford this?!" My voice cracked.

"Remember that I said I couldn't visit you, because I said I was busy? I got a part time job" Sam smiled heartily. I looked back at Levi, his face is full of shock.

I turn and look at Sam who's patiently waiting my answer. I look at Levi again, his face changes and looks like he doesn't care but he looks at me intensely, waiting for my answer.

I take a deep breath.

"Sure! Why not!" I said with a forced smile. Sam doesn't waste a second and puts the ring on my finger.

"She said yes!!!" Sam yells to the crowd. The crowd runs toward us, congratulating Sam and me. I push myself out of the crowd, I needed some air. I go outside and bumped into Petra.

"H-Hey! F/n!! I thought you were going to confess to Levi" Petra looks me in the eye.

"Y-Yea" I said, my heart twisted.

"What happened?! Why are you getting married to Sam when you love Levi?!" Petra holds my hand, looking into my eyes. My heart fills with sadness.

"Levi only wanted me to go behind the building to tell me that I was in his squad" I lied and put on my brightest smile. "Levi doesn't like me. That's all I'll say" I smiled again.

Petra glares at me, then hugs me. "I'll always be here for you" She whispers into my ear and let's go of the hug.

"We can go to the Scout Regiment together now!!!!!!!!" She yells happily.

"I'm glad" I said.

"Oi cadet L/n " A voice shivers down my spine. I turn around and see Levi, my chest begins to hurt but I saluted him.

"I need to speak with you, come into my office" He walks off.

"Are you alright?" Petra asks, her face full of concerned.

"Yea I'm fine, he probably wants to talk about moving into Squad Levi head quarters" I ruffled her hair a bit. Her eyes widen a bit.

"What's wrong?" I pull my hand back, afraid that I did something wrong.

"No, nothing!! It's just... You used to do that to me before you lost your memories" Petra smiles sadly.

"Aha I sound like a big sister" I stick out my tongue jokingly at her.

"Well I got to go, or Corporal going to make me clean" I jog back inside, there are a few people still congratulating Sam.

"F/n!!!" Sam runs to me. "Where are you going? And where did you go? I couldn't find you!" Sam whined.

"Sorry, it was getting hard to breath in here so I went outside. And I have to go to Corporals office, he wants to talk to me" I said. Sam raises his eyebrow and forms a frown.

"A-Anyway! This might be a little sudden but.... I bought a house for us at Wall Sina!! And we can move and join the military police together!!" Sam said.

"Oh.... Sorry Sam, Corporal has already chosen me to be on His squad on Scout Regiment. I have to live somewhere else" I said nervously. Sam looks surprised and a little sad.

"I-It's alright!!! We can make this work!!! You'll come to the house on winter break, then we can have our wedding on Christmas Day!! And you'll visit me on weekends!!!" Sam says cheerfully. My heart lights up at his smile.

"Honestly Sam... You're the best" I wrap my arms around his neck, and give him a sweet kiss on the lips.

"Oi! Get a room!!!" Auruo shouts. Me and Sam both chuckle, I release the hug and walk my way to Levi's Office.

~knock knock~

"State your name and business"

"F/n L/n sir"

"Tch, you're late. Hurry up and come in, let's get this over with"

I walk in, his room is spotless. My head feels a bit dizzy after looking at his room.

"What's wrong, you look drunk " Levi says bluntly.

"My head just felt dizzy for a while sir" I try to shake off the dizziness.

"Did your memories come back?" he says while looking at his papers. I bit the inside of my cheek and look at the ground.

Levi notices my silence, and becomes annoyed "Oi answer me!" he snaps at me.

"N-No! Sir" I lied, he glares at me. I manage to hold off his stare, I place my hands behind my back, clenching my fists into a ball.

"I see. We are moving to squad Levi headquarters tomorrow, incase your head didn't remember" He insults me. I put on a smile, but my eyebrow twitches wildly.

"Yes sir" I salute and walk to the door, touched the knob but Levi said something that stopped me.

"So you're marrying that blonde brat " Levi whispers but loudly so I can hear him.

"Yea.. I guess.... We'll be marrying a couple months from now...." I said

When I left the room, my heart began longing for him.

'I can't go back to Levi... He loves someone else, and he rejected me' I thought.

But then I remembered something...

'I also rejected Levi, by saying yes in marriage to Sam. But.....'

'I still love Levi..... I rejected the man I still loved'
