Benji

I open my eyes slowly, the ground isn't so warm anymore. I rubbed my eyes and looked around it's dark, everyone is going to be worried. I think. I jump up off the ground and stretch my arms and legs, walking towards the woods again I hear a sound. It's sound like a squeak but not a mouse, I look around for whatever is making that strange noise. I then feel a little thud on the back of my foot, I look down in panic and see a tiny little puppy, it's the cutest puppy ever with: brown and white fur and 1 brown 1 blue eye. I lean down and pick the tiny creature up "Hello there sweetheart, what are you doing here" I say to the puppy before wrapping my arms around it and cuddling it in like a baby, it was cold but began to heat up fast. I look under its leg to see the gender (it's a normal thing, it's not weird.) it's a little boy, he's so tiny and adorable, I smile while looking down and the puppy and walking back home. He had fallen asleep quick he looked hungry too, since it was dark everyone would be asleep and I could get him food in private without stressing him out. I walk home quietly and open the door, a little squeak was formed from the door but no one was woken up but the puppy. He wriggled around in my arms and I giggled, walking over to the kitchen I opened the Cupboard looking for something that the little boy could eat. He found some soup, he was tiny and looked only a few weeks old so it would be good for him. I opened the van and poured it into a pan heating it up a little, when it was done I poured it into a small bowl, large enough that the puppy could still eat but small enough he couldn't fall in. I placed him down next to the bowl and he ate it all in about a minute, he looked up at me and I poured more into his bowl, he was really hungry and skinny he probably hadn't eaten in weeks. After he had done eating I gave him some water, he looked at it then back up and me then dived towards it, I was a bit shocked but it was adorable. After we was done with everything I told him to follow me (he had eaten a lot and if I picked him up he could have been sick) he followed me though and I took him into the living room. I threw myself on the couch and patted it so he would jump up though he was to small so I had to carry him. I looked at the clock it's 4:47am, there's no point of going to sleep now I've already slept. I stayed up and gave the puppy a little shower to get the dirt off, he luckily didn't have any flies so he was okay to stay in the house. By 5:30am I was shattered, I was yawning a lot and I couldn't keep my eyes open. I scooped up the puppy and headed up to bed, I opened and closed the door quietly and placed the puppy on my bed before getting changed. He cuddles up on my covers and when I was down I slowly moved him, I lay down and held my puppy close. What should I name him? Hmm... I'll name him Benji, what a cute name for him. I pulled the covers over Benji from him to be hidden from anyone in the morning before drifting off into a deep sleep. I woke up the next day at about 9:40am it's later than I usually get up but oh well, I had a rough day yesterday. I got up slowly while Benji was still asleep, I gave him a slow pet on the head and he slowly raised it. "Morning Benji." I whispered to him and he tilted his head. "Your new name is Benji." He tilted his head again like he knew what I was saying, I smiled and got out of bed. I put my housecoat (or what ever you call it) on and picked up Benji before shoving him in the side of it. I just looked like I had one giant Brest that moved by itself. (lolz) I opened the door and headed down the stairs Alma was waiting for me. Oh no. She had an angry look on her face and pointed at me "Come here." I stared at her for a moment "COME HERE NOW!" She yelled at me which made me just and run down stairs. "Why did you do that yesterday!?" "I'm so disappointed in you, if you want to continue staying here you have to behave." She continued yelling in English and Spanish, I continued to look at the ground holding back tears. "I'm sorry Alma, I know I disappointed you and I hate myself for it.." I whispered to her but still loud that she could hear. "Y/n listen, I know Asia did a bad thing but I gave you no right to slap her." She put her hand in my shoulder to reassure me. "I know Alma but anger took over, I hate the way she treats Mirabel." I slowly raised my head and Alma raised her eyebrow "What do you mean. How does she treat Mirabel?" She had an angry expression on her face but I knew it wasn't off of me. "When me and Mirabel and talking she would swoop right in and push Mirabel out the was to give me attention. She would give Mirabel dirty looks and tell her to be quiet whenever she talked." Alma looked furious, she walked right passed me and stormed into a room. I watched what she was doing, her every step I watched. She started shouting in rage yelling for people to 'get out of casita'. I backed up and looked down my housecoat, Benji was cuddled in and sleeping peacefully don't know how I smiled though, he's adorable how couldn't you. I looked up and everyone was staring at me in confusing. "Why are you smiling at you... chest area." Camilo looked at me in confusing. "I- uh. No reason! I just Uhm..." I was nervous and didn't know what to say so I just stood there paralysed. "Anyway.. Y/n, where did you go yesterday?" Mirabel put everyone off the subject, thankfully. "Oh Uhm. I needed fresh air and decided to go for a walk in the woods, then I found this beautiful flower field and I lay in it, but because it was so warm and cozy I fell asleep." Everyone stared at me "eh. Alright then." Félix looked at me and then went back to eating his food, everyone did. I walked towards them and sat in the only seat left which was next to Luisa. I smiled at her and she gave me a little smile back, as I sat down Benji sneezed and Luisa stared at me. I stared back at her right in the eyes "Uh- sorry I still have pollen on me." I gave her a awkward smile and shrugged, she nodded and turned away before eating her food again. Alma continued shouting down stairs as Asia and her family ran out the door "FUCK YOU Y/N!" Everyone shot their heads up and stared at Asia before looking at me to see my reaction. I just stared at Asia, smiled and stuck my finger up at her she grunted and stormed out the house. Alma sat with us and we all ate food peacefully, I secretly shoved some food in my pocket for Benji but Pepa saw me "You know if you are hungry later you can just ask for food, you don't need to store it in your pocket?" I stared at her in pure embarrassment everyone was giggling, I stood up and walked away swiftly. "Y/n." Alma called for me to come back, I turned around and stared at her with my hand on my hip. "Hm." I replied unimpressed "what are you hiding." "What do you mean." I was now in panic mode, does she know I have Benji? "Your acting strange what are you hiding, just tell me I won't be mad." She kept pressuring me to tell her what I was hiding and I ended up blurting out what was the problem "Before I left the field I found a puppy and he is so young and adorable, he's was starving and was super skinny so I took him into the house and that's why I kept looking down my housecoat and storing food in my pocket!" I scooped up Benji and held him in front of me, everyone gasped which turning into and 'Awh'. "His name is Benji." I said loudly. Everyone ran up to me and Benji and surrounded him "He's adorable!" "What a pressurise little thing." "You are definitely keeping him!" They went on and on about how cute he was until Alma blurred out. "Everyone stand back. The poor thing will be getting stressed out!" Everyone stood back apologising to Alma and Benji, Alma turned to me and looked me in the eyes "Can I keep him?" I said quietly to her. "Of course you can keep him, why did you even hide him in the first place!" She petted hun while smiling at me. "gracias, Alma." I hugged her before putting Benji down to run over to everyone else. Everyone screamed in excitement, they surrendered him with live and affection. I knew Benji loved this because his little tail was going crazy, he is the best. This family is the best.
