"Y/N.." Rindou carefully called, "hey, how are you feeling?"

She only shook her head and stared at the wall. Ran took them back to Bonten's hideout with the underground doctors they have. The other Bonten men also arranged the funeral for Dojin Kai's men, Keisashi's and Mina's.

Rindou just sat beside her, taking a comfort of the silence in between them. He felt relieved because Ashiro's operation was a success, which means he actually saved the kid.

"Why do they have to die?" Y/N started, lips shaking from the pain as she cried, "I don't understand Rindou, how could some people be so cruel?"

Rindou is cruel as well, of course. He has taken lives that has a family, a wife. Some kids who were hoping they'd get to see their fathers again but were killed because they tried to betray Bonten.

Before, violence seemed to be an exciting thing for them but now, seeing the girl they treasure most being broken by the very same thing that excites them just hurts. A lot.

"You know, I met Kyoko because of Kentaro," she whispered, "she was the one who took care of his corpse."

"You must be the kid's mother?" the girl asked who just finished embalming Kentaro's body. Her voice is so gentle that it brought some sense of comfort to Y/N, "such a young boy. There are just cruel people all over the world who doesn't have any conscience."

"He's my brother. Our mom left us when he was just months old," Y/N answered

"Really? I lost my brother too, but older brother," the girl smiled, "it's pretty tough, hmm? I'm Kyoko by the way."

"Kyoko.." Y/N repeated, "can I hug you?"

Kyoko was taken aback but smiled anyway, "of course."

Y/N immediately hugged her tight and cried in her arms, "it hurts losing him."

"I know, love," Kyoko comforted her, "I know."

Since then, they were inseparable. They have no one else but them, and that's why Kyoko didn't hesitate when her idea to form an organization to take Kisaki Tetta down came up. To be fair, Kyoko always knew they won't win against him. He's smart, cunning, but there's no way in hell she'd let Y/N fight battles alone.

When Y/N gets bruised up and wounded, Kyoko will always be the one to patch her up. She will put her to sleep while assuring her that she will always be Y/N's right hand.

"You like him, don't you?" Y/N teased, "Daisuke."

"No!" Kyoko answered defensively and sipped on her milkshake, "why would you say that?"
