"We got them, is everything clear there Rindou?" Ran asked over his mic. They used earpiece now to prevent casualties again, like what happened to Y/N when they rescued Rindou.
"All clear brother," Rindou answered
Ran carried Keisashi's girlfriend since she is injured while Y/N carried her son in her arms while rubbing his back gently, "it's okay, you are safe with me."
Ran glanced at her and smiled, she really knows her way with kids.
Rindou opened the door for them and Ran drove Y/N's car, while Rindou followed them with his car. Ran is a bit hesitant letting them stay in her penthouse, scared that shit may happen there but he trusts her decisions and didn't voice it out anymore.
Kyoko already had a room prepared for both of them, so Ran placed them there while Y/N took care of them together with her personal doctor for any injuries or something.
"You look doubtful," Rindou pointed out, "what's running in that smart mind of yours?"
"Just thinking that having them here would cause danger to Y/N," Ran sighed, "and what is she planning to do with Keisashi now?"
Rindou shrugged, "she never said anything yet but I know for sure she would be careful since he could be her edge against Kisaki Tetta."
Rindou's phone rang and he immediately answered it because it was Mikey. He waved Ran goodbye and Ran just nodded. It took some minutes before Y/N went out with the doctor and Kyoko.
"They're okay miss Sachiro, nothing to worry about. Anyway, just call me if anything happens," the doctor said
"Thank you, let's just keep this to ourselves for now doc," Y/N smiled
Kyoko lead the doctor out while Y/N sat on the couch. Ran sat beside her and caressed her hair, "you good?"
She nodded, "at least I saved them from Kisaki."
Ran felt the emptiness of her words, he knows for sure she wishes that she did the same with Kentaro. Ran took her hand and rubbed it gently, "you did. You've done so much to save everyone from that bastard's hand."
"But I failed to save Kentaro," she smiled sadly
"Baby," Ran gently called her, "it wasn't your fault, okay? It was never your fault."
She nodded and felt her tears fall down, to which Ran immediately wiped away. She tried to fight the urge to seek his comfort but miserably failed as she threw herself in his arm while crying.
Ever since Kentaro was buried, she tried to keep herself strong. She never cried to anyone, not to Kyoko or Daisuke, not to any members of Dojin Kai. She kept reminding herself to remain strong because crying is for the weak but that's where she's wrong.
