Tick, tick....tick.

Precious moments were passing by as you stood there in silence. You couldn't find your words. You weren't sure if you wanted find them, you were too conflicted. Your mind struggling to comprehend what was just presented to you. The option to risk everything.

The logical side of your brain started kicking into gear. Forcing you to snap out of it.

STOP. You've done this before. Don't screw up again.

David won't save your ass twice. You don't even know this man...

Once again the flashback hit you like a brick wall, thrusting you back into the moment you made the fatal mistake of letting your guard down and trusting someone you shouldn't. That young man's death was on your hands. No one would ever know this truth. But the weight of that burden just stayed humped on your shoulder ever since. Silently tormenting you, knowing your foolishness got the better of you.

You told yourself never again. Never...

And here you are again. Putting yourself into the exact same bullshit. For this man you don't even know. His words still ringing in your ears, the pleading of his voice made you quiver.

"You don't believe me." Kylo's voice broke you away from your inner dilemma.

You shook your head, slowing rising to your feet. Your face pointed toward the door. You didn't know what to say. This was all too much for you.

"I-I don't, I really can't do this."

Your voice came out weak, you couldn't bear to turn around and face him.

"Wait! Please don't walk away yet." He begged.

You heard him rustle against the metal cuff that chained him to the bed. You were still close enough to where he caught you by the wrist. Pulling you back into his view.

"You feel something. You may not want to believe what your hearing, but I can feel that something inside you knows I'm not bullshitting you. You can't walk out not knowing the truth."

Kylo's tone had turned serious. The playfulness in his voice had diminished and every word he said now seemed life or death.

"What truth?" You said with a deep sigh.

In your head all you could think of is... Axe Murder? Terrorist? Some Psycho Arsonist?

"It's not that simple."

You softly scoffed at his reply. You just noticed that he was still holding onto your wrist. Your arm looked tiny in comparison to his large hand.

"In case you haven't noticed, simple is all we have time for."

The bold truth of your comment only annoyed him.

"Fine, then just let me go. I won't do anything stupid." Kylo pleaded.

Your eye's went wide. You became more annoyed then he was.

"Are you insane!? You are here because-"

You quickly shut your mouth, realizing he may very well be criminally insane.

"What do I need to do huh? I don't belong here. You KNOW I shouldn't be here, otherwise you would have treated me like everyone else has. What if...what if I had proof?"
