[Y/n] looked around in awe at the bamboo forest. "This bamboo forest is so amazing! the autumn leaves are beautiful." Tohru said.

"Yes, they are." Hanajima said, "In fact, they've inspired me to write a haiku."

[Y/n] raised a brow at her while Tohru clapped her hand together with a smile. "Heh. How does it go? You have to let us hear." Tohru said

"My very educated mother just served us noodles." Hanajima said.

"You've got to be joking."

"Not a haiku."

"All you think about is food."

Uotani, [Y/n] and Kyo said at the same time. "Oh, let me try one." Tohru said.

"Please excuse my dear aunt Sally." Tohru said, and [Y/n] gave them a deadpanned look.

"Good one. Far superior to mine." Hanajima said, "I graciously concede this round to you."

"Neither of those were even close to haikus!" [Y/n], Uotani, and Kyo yelled at them. Their Kyoto trip was finally here, and students were excited about it. It was a time to relax and spend time together before exams. And maybe, just maybe a little bit of romance. [Y/n] sighed; she could only hope. She had a whole class of girls to compete with.

"I don't know about this. Doesn't seem like the kinda place you wanna visit with a whole be group of people, if you ask me. It sorta ruins the atmosphere, you know?" Uotani said.

"You realize this wouldn't be much of a class trip without the class here for it." Yuki said.

"I just hate having to wake up so early." [Y/n] said while stretching.

Uotani wrapped her arms around her friends, pulling them into a huddle. "Tell ya what, ladies, we'll plan another trip here. Just for us girls, though."

"Sounds wonderful." Hanajima said.

"I'm in." [Y/n] said. "That would be fun. Can we spend longer checking out the temples next time?" Tohru asked.

"We'll do whatever we want. Take a relaxing stroll around the gardens." Uotani said.

"Eat delicious food from every restaurant." Hanajima said.

"And, maybe witness a murder." They said, darkly, scaring [Y/n] and Tohru.

"They watch way too much tv." Yuki muttered. They continued to walk taking in the sweet autumn air. "Psst. Hey man, check it out. The first new couple of the trip."

[Y/n] looked to see a boy and a girl walking while holding hands. "Why do so many people get together during these thing d'think?" [Y/n]'s softened looking at the new couple with envy. She could see herself and Yuki liked that.

"That's the look of a lovesick woman." [Y/n] felt Uotani wrap her arm around her shoulder. [Y/n] gave a sad smile, "I have no idea what you're talking about, Uota." She said.

"You haven't been yourself since summer break. What's up? Did the prince reject you?" Uotani asked. [Y/n] stayed silent. 'No... He didn't. I'd much rather him reject me. Then me holding out hope that we could be together.'

"Speaking of prince, don'tcha think it's kinda weird? If tons've of people are professing their love, shouldn't our prince here be surrounded by girls?" Uotani said, catching to attention of the other, "Where are his adoring fans?"

Yuki gave then a confused look. "Huh. Now that you mention it..." Tohru muttered.

"I'm just not as popular as you think I am, Uotani. Sorry." Yuki said, and [Y/n] rolled her eyes at him. 'The number of threats I get for being around him, says otherwise.' [Y/n] thought.
