Behold The Child

Seawitch Prospective 
It was a high school talent show for my daughter, Emma. I knew two possible futures but it was up to her to decide which lane she will take both leading to success and praise both leading to hardship so I asked her "Emma do you want to take this talent contract or will you trust in the future". I look into her brown eyes. I feel her skin looking at each change in color from brown to white. I stroke her blue hair. I'd grown fond of Emma. My body grows weak. "I will give these girls the chance I was given. I will trust in the future" I closed my eyes and looked back on her life from the time her egg was hatched and relieved it. I remember sixteen years ago it was August 2, 1991. I was off the coast of Portland, Maine when I witnessed the matting ceremony. After reading the future of the eggs. I noticed an abandoned egg. It had a blue hue with white speckles.

I decided to read about her future. I wasn't expecting much, then I saw something I didn't see, two lanes both leading to great fame and fortune. "So you want to be a queen or a pop star," I asked the egg. I sighed that this girl was special and I couldn't tell her why. If I told her too much about her future it could change, not only for her but for everyone. It was like that with everyone. I'd already seen it with the king and his sons as I predicted his sons would die early into their rein on the throne. I take the egg and look around, no soul in sight. Suddenly I see the king walk out of the water. He was tall with brown frosted hair. He was with a girl with a broad shoulder with big busted and red hair. They walk on the shore with their kids, two chubby-cheeked kids with red hair "Sea witch how was the ceremony did you find a baby to bless" the king asked. I nodded holding the abandoned egg. "Her in hopes she'll find a family," I said as the king kissed the egg holding it in his arms. "So what should we name her," The Queen asked

"Emma it means whole or universal because to whoever will have her will be blessed with universal love," I said "I haven't seen you put so much effort into an abandoned child" The king jokes "why not you keep her," The queen said. "Why don't I?" I said the king thought for a moment. "Sea witches are entitled to one kid though they can't have one of their own she hasn't had one yet," He said "This is a true babe," The queen said I smile but I knew my time was coming shortly my powers were weakening and the birth of a new sea witch was already among us. "You are quite old," The king said "A few thousand if I'm right," The queen said I nod. I knew I wouldn't live to see her reach the mating ceremony but I had to keep her or her future would change.

"I believe my old age will give me wisdom on how to raise a child like little Emma" I spoke with confidence. "Well I mean there have been sea witches older than her who've had kids, the oldest sea witch out there who ever lived was a Syrian she lived till she was twelve thousand," The queen said. The king nods "Then let it be so little Emma can stay with the sea witch" I shock the king's tough grip. I step in the water and look back as the final people slept or swam back, put on my tail, and went to my home close by. As I waited for the girl to hatch I searched for the boy who would replace me. One late night I look into my crystal ball and see a boy who was born in February. He lived in Brunswick so I swam. There I saw a woman with blond hair and thick arms blending seaweed and feeding her kid.

"Hello I'm the sea witch," I said "Hello sea witch how can I help you," she asked "I'm here because your boy is very special," I said the woman bows her head. "Thank you," she said as I walked over to the boy with green hair. "What's his name? I want to hear it from the mother herself" I demanded. "Kurtis is something going to happen to him," his mother asked "Yes he will be something very incredible" Before I could finish a man walks in he wears glasses and has green hair her's thin and tall with a handlebar mustache "Honey did you hire the sea witch for a reading," He asked "No sir I'm here because I've got important news about your so it's important very important, he will be taking my place as the next sea witch," I said
