Blood.Corpse.Fangs

Madeline wakes up with a gasp looking around to see that it was all a nightmare. She notices that she is covered in perspiration and gets out of her bed not wanting to sleep, afraid that she would have another nightmare.

It's not like this was the first time she had a nightmare. Even as a child she would have nightmares of ghosts and scary creatures, but that was merely because of seeing them on tv and thinking about them too much. In the past few months , there were nights where she'd wake up because she saw her parents car go off.

But she didn't like the way this particular nightmare was. Almost as if it was some sort of warning. It was repetitive and in flashes.

It didn't help Madeline's case that the animal attacks in Mystic Falls were not decreasing. Few people argued that the bodies were drained of blood but Madeline decided to ignore them as they sounded ridiculous and ridiculous. However, her gut feeling said that there may be another attack from this animal. And that it may be a lot sooner that she'd think.

" Earth to Madeline !" she heard Trevor's voice, which snapped her attention back to reality.

" What's up Star ?" Trevor furrowed his eyebrows and put his arm around her shoulder " You look lost today."

'Star' was a nickname a 10 year old Trevor had made up for Madeline. The reason was simple. Whenever Madeline was would see stars, her smile would be the biggest. Trevor would joke about how that smile of hers could lighten up the whole of Mystic Falls.

In return, Madeline would call Trevor 'Moony'  because together the stars and the moon would capture the night, just like the two of them who would capture the attention of everyone on the dance stage.

Besides , she'd always say , The moon is lonely without the stars. And the night feels incomplete when there are only stars and no moon.

" Nothing Moony. I'm just thinking." she shrugged as the two began walking towards their class.

Stefan saw Madeline and some guy he didn't know, entering the class as the boy's arm was around her shoulder. The Salvatore boy felt something off about him and so he leaned over to Elena and whispered,

" Are they two dating ?"

" Nope. They are best friends. Why ?" Elena frowned.

" No reason." he replied.

Stefan looked at the younger Gilbert girl. She reminded him of someone he used to know a very long time ago. Someone he regretted losing. Someone who was the only thing that mattered to him at a period in his life.
