Madeline stretched out her hands and brought her hand to cover her mouth while yawning. She had finally caught up on the days of pending assignments and studies. The alarm clock on her desk showed the time to be as 5 pm.

Ever since she had found out about supernatural creatures, the Gilbert witch had been distracted from her normal life. Her school homework had been piling up, which she had been ignoring due to reading all the witch journals.

She was desperately trying to find a 'grimore' as Grams called it, but was unsuccessful.

Madeline scrolled through her phone, searching for a someone to have a random conversation with, when she spotted Caroline's name in the contacts.

She remembered the last time she had spoken to the blonde. Ever since the little spat, the two friends hadn't spoke and Madeline didn't like that.

Rather than speaking on the phone, Madeline decided it was better if the two of them met in person. 

With that, she walked out of her house and made her way towards the Forbes house.

Sheriff Forbes wasn't at home a lot of days. Taking care of the town and making sure there were lesser crimes, she sometimes wasn't able to take care of her own daughter. Ever since her parents divorced, Caroline had grown up all alone.

Unlike a lot of kids, she didn't have siblings. But she did have true friends whom she considered as sisters.

Ever since her little fight with Madeline, the blonde had seemed to be losing all of her friends. Although she would spend a lot of her time with Damon Salvatore, at the back of her mind in a very small corner, she felt it was unhealthy.

The doorbell caught attention of the Forbes girl who went to open the door while wondering who it might be.

A part of her feared that it was Damon again. She slightly opened the door to take a peak when she saw her brunette best friend.

" Madeline ?" she said with her tone that barely hid her surprisement.

" Hey Caroline..."

" What are you doing here ?" Caroline frowned " I mean is everything ok ?"

" Yeah everything is as good as it could be and to answer your questions, I am here to apologise for snapping at you the other day."

" Oh..."

In all honesty, Caroline had forgotten about the little incident between the two of them. Speaking of which, the Forbes girl was forgetting a lot of things those days. Her mind felt messed up and she felt as if someone was playing with her memory.
