"Oh how I wish you'd be coming to this dance," Caroline sighed " You would rock one of those 50's dresses."

"You know I can't Care, I got my classes to attend to," came the reply.

For the past few days, Madeline had been getting recurring dreams of an old, seemingly abandoned house that was filled with vampires. The dream would begin with Madeline waking outside the house and hearing whispers coming from the house.

However, every time she would try to enter the house, it would be to no avail. She could only see a middle-aged blonde woman being fed upon by the vampires, and seeing how the woman wasn't really reacting much, Madeline guessed she was compelled.

The scene would fade into the same old graveyard where she would meet Kelly, who would say only one sentence to her,

" Do not neglect your witch abilities."

And then Madeline would wake up.

" Now I gotta go alone." Caroline's voice brought her attention back.

" I thought you were going with Matt."

" Well Matt said that he can't come, something about being a busboy at the Grill."

Madeline gave a sad sigh. She knew how difficult it must be for the Donovan boy, having lost his sister and his mom being M.I.A most of the times didn't really sound like a treat.

" It's not like I was judging him for working, you know " the blonde said suddenly. " I just didn't know that about him."

" Did you tell him that ?"

" Of course I did Maddie."

" Well then I'm sure he'll come around" Madeline comforted. " Matt is a nice guy, I'm sure he'll understand if you try to explain."

Caroline didn't look too convinced and Madeline knew just the thing that would cheer her best friend,

" Anyway I got you a little something" she said holding out a silver necklace that had a cute heart pendant.

" Oh my God Maddie, It's so pretty. Thank you !" Caroline exclaimed taking the necklace .

"God, it'll go with, like, everything. What's the occasion?"

"No occasion really. Just thought it would be your style."

"Lesbian friend necklace? Cause we're freaky like that?" the blonde raised an eyebrow as Madeline laughed.
