Babylon

Artemis had turned herself into a cheetah and had been running around collecting the people on her back before running them into the gates and dropping them off to the safe point before running back out and grabbing more.

"Help me!" the soft scream of a young child was quick to reach Artemis' ears. The girl dropped off the people on her back quickly before running as fast as she could in the direction of the scream. She could see a young girl, about 8 years old, being cornered into a broken-down shack.

Artemis quickly ran towards the creature, throwing herself into its side, knocking it away from the girl. A low growl fell from the cheetah's mouth as it stood protectively in front of the child. The cheetah slowly walked backwards, edging closer to the child before quickly turning back into her human form and then grabbing her bow and an arrow, quickly shooting it, sending the arrow right between the deviant's eyes.

Deviants began to charge at her from different directions. She quickly grabbed another arrow and shot it at the closest deviant and then continued shooting them, as more and more charged at her and the child. It was endless so Artemis knew she had to think of a more efficient plan.

She quickly wrapped the bow back around her body before grabbing the child and placing her on her back and then quickly turning into a giant teratorn and soaring up into the air. The kid held on tightly as they flew up, out of reach of the deviants. She soared over them all and then quickly flew to where all the people were being gathered behind the gates.

"Thank you!" the young child called out as the large bird quickly flew back out to go and help the others. Artemis watched as Gilgamesh was thrown by a deviant, swooping down she caught him just before he hit the ground. She flew back up in the air, peering down at the chaos below. Watching as her and her family continued to fight all the deviants.

There was one last deviant left, and it was the biggest out of all of them. The Eternals were taking turns taking shots at it, it was definitely one of the strongest ones that they had faced. Artemis landed next to Makarri and turned back into her original form. Gilgamesh landed the final blow, and the creature was finally dead, leaving Babylon to be safe for at least a while.

They were rounding up people around the world and trying to get them into Babylon so that they could protect them all in one place. It was now the largest city in the world, and they were saving hundreds of people each day.

"Well that was fun," Artemis commented with a long sigh, clearly exhausted. Shapeshifting tired her out quickly, and she had transformed into multiple different creatures in this particular battle, "now what do you say we go and heal these guys and then go and have ourselves a nice drink?"

Makkari collected the attention of Artemis, a sly smirk on her face as she began to sign 'you just want to get it all done quickly so that you can see Druig' her smirk grew even wider as she saw the look on Artemis face

Artemis let out a dramatic laugh and playfully shoved Makkari before signing 'dont be rediculous Mak. We are having a girls drinking night tonight remember?' she asked and Makarri grinned widely as she nodded her head at her best friend.

Thena walked up behind the two girls and threw her arms around their shoulders, smirking at the two girls before pulling her arms away and signing 'I wonder how long it will take for Artemis to crack and go party the night away with Druig.'

Makarri nodded her head with a grin while Artemis rolled her eyes and laugh, 'shut up you idiots'

Ajak and Artemis walked into the meeting area of the ship. Phastos was in the middle, planning out new inventions, thinking of the best technology to supply to the people, technology that would assist in making the humans evolve.

Sprite was laying down on one of the desks as she watched Phastos in curiosity, impressed with all of the designs that the man was coming up with. Druig on the other hand was sitting in the corner of the room, munching on food as he enjoyed listen to Phastos and Sprite's occasional bickering.

Druig's head perked up as Artemis walked into the room and a wide smile came onto his face. Ajak noticed that Phastos was lost in his own mind and creations again and a small smile came on her lips as she let out a sigh, "Phastos, did you go to the party last night like I told you to?" she asked, thinking that the man was always working too much and he deserved a break, sure they were sent their on a mission, but why should that mean that they couldn't go out there and have lives of their own?

Phastos tried to keep a calm face, but he was never good at lying, a small scoff fell from his lips as he attempted to brush the question off with a lie, "the party? What? Yeah of course I went to the p-party - Yeah, it was..."

Artemis snickered under her breath, "Phastos you have got to be the worst liar I have ever met," she said with a grin.

"He worked all night," Druig commented as he began to chuckle. Phastos looked between Druig and Artemis with a gasp, causing the two of them to laugh even more. Artemis made her way over to Druig with a wide smile on her face, "hello beautiful," he commented as she sat down next to him. He playfully nudged her shoulder as she rolled her eyes and her cheeks went red

"get a live Phastos," Ajak commented and then looked around the room and noticed that Sersi wasn't there even though she was supposed to be, "And where is Sersi?"

"late as usual," Sprite commented and tried to avoid looking at Druig and Artemis. Sprite was different to the others, she was the same age as them, but she looked like a kid, and she feared that she would never be able to be in love. She wanted what Druig and Artemis had, though she wanted it with Ikaris.

She wanted someone to look at her the same way that Druig would look at Artemis. She wanted someone to be able to joke around with all the time, and have someone to talk to about all the little things.

Druig and Artemis weren't in a relationship, though all of the eternals could see that they loved each other. It was like they were made for each other. And Druig had no problem with showing Artemis that that was how he really felt, but Artemis was just a clueless idiot who brushed it off for Druig being a big flirt.

But even if they weren't in an official relationship and no matter how clueless Artemis could be. They were each others person and everyone new that, especially Druig and Artemis. Druig held out his plate of food for the girl who thanked him softly and the two of them began to share the meal as they watched Phastos continue with his work

"Okay I'm sorry but I have something very exciting to show you okay?" Phastos told Ajak as he grabbed onto her hand softly and pulled her around to the front of the model that was floating in the middle of the room, "Wait till you see this," he commented excitedly and quickly pulled the model down a bit lower so that Ajak could see and he began to shuffle a few things around to complete the model.

He looked down at Ajak in excitement, but Ajak just looked completely confused, not understanding what she was looking at. "What is it?" Ajak asked, a hint of impatientness ringing out through her voice

Phastos was beyond excited, thinking that this was going to help the people so much, "its an engine! It moves steam from high pressure to low pressure. Uh... it will help them with their fields at an incredibly fast rate."

Druig wrapped his arm around Artemis shoulder as they all observed the model in front of them. Sprite was the first one to speak up, "it'll freak them out." she informed as she shrugged her shoulders, impressed by the idea, but not thinking that it was a good idea to introduce just yet.

"Yeah, I mean they have only had the wheel for 1,000 years so..." Druig commented, trying to help explain to Phastos why it wouldn't be the best idea for him to introduce this kind of technology to the people of earth just yet.

"It is still an excellent design though Phastos! When the right time comes, it will be revolutionary," Artemis explains, trying to cheer Phastos up a bit

"You know we could do that thing where you use your mind to control them, and then they could evolve quicker..." Phastos muttered out, wanting nothing more at this moment but for this model to be brought into the world so that the people would be able to evolve faster
