So there I was, panicking about a song I was going to sing in front of the boys. I finally found it in my brain though just as the One Direction started to rush me.
“What’s the name of the song already?!,” Louis persisted. He waved his fatty hamburger up in the air like it was going to help me make a decision.
“‘Had me at Hello’ sung by Luke Benward,” I replied confidently. The One Direction boys stared at me with blank faces. The obviously had no idea who this guy was. “You know, that geeky guy from that one movie, The snow-suit guys?,” I added hoping they would get who Luke was.
“Ahh, Minutemen,” Liam said, I smiled and nodded. I really loved the song. It was nice and easy, and not to complicated.
“So are you going to start singing or not,” Louis persisted once more.
“OK, OK,” I breathed in and began,
“I can feel you comin' from a mile away
My pulse starts racing from the words that you say
And you say so many of them like you don't have a clue
That I'm signed, sealed delivered with a stamp on
You don't have to try too hard
You already have my heart
You don't got a thing to prove
I'm already into you
So
Hold, Hold, Hold, hold me tight now
Cause I'm so, so good to go
Don't say Don't say goodnight you know
You had me at hello (X3)
Don't say Don't say goodnight you know
You had me at hello
Close your mouth now baby don't say a word
Cause you ain't saying nothing
I ain't already heard
Plus all them words get buried when the beats so loud
And the speakers blowin' up to this dance song
You don't have to try too hard
You already have my heart
You don't got a thing to prove
I'm already into you
So
Hold, hold, hold, hold me tight now
Cause I'm so, so good to go
Don't say Don't say goodnight you know
You had me at hello (X3)
Don't say Don't say goodnight you know
You had me at hello
Oooh Oooh ooh ooh (x5)
So
Hold, hold, hold, hold me tight now
I'm so, so good to go
Don't say Don't say goodnight you know
You had me at hello (X3)
Don't say Don't say goodnight you know
You had me at hello,”
I looked from face to face as I finished the song. Niall had stopped mid-bite to listen. I felt awkward, I probably did really bad. Negative thoughts, I couldn’t control them. I must have done bad, they stared at me with blank faces.
“Wow,” Niall said quietly. “You are talented, “ I nearly laughed, there was no way I was good enough to be called talented by the most talented boys in the world. “I mean it, Lucy,” He added. I looked into his big blue eyes and found truth . I nodded quietly, I take compliments very shyly.
“So Niall, about that guitar lesson,” I paused, waiting for a response. He looked up from his food and looked at me.
“Ya, right this way,” He set his food down on the table. He stood up and began traveling down the blue hallway. He began tracing his fingers across the wall until we got to a maple door. It was varnished to a shine. He opened up the door to a small room. The walls were nearly blank, a few notes scattered about. There were two beds inside, both lay unmade. I looked over to see a light brown guitar laying in the corner. “I just have to put a new string on it,” Niall added making his way to the instrument. I sat on the furthest bed, closest to Niall as he began plucking the string until it it sounded right. “Here, “ He said, placing the instrument into my arms. “I’m going to teach you righty.,” I nodded as he fixed the instrument into the correct position. We then went over the chords for ‘Mary had a little lamb’ and simple songs like that. He kept on having to fix my fingers though, Whenever we touched it made my heart flutter. Finally, I could go through ‘Mary had a little lamb’ at a good enough tempo that you could know the what the song was. I looked to the window and the sky was dim.
“It’s getting late,” I said, looking up at his big blue eyes. He stared back at me.
“Ya, I guess, maybe we could meet up tomorrow,” He replied as I delicately replaced the guitar in his arms.
“For other guitar lesson?,” I asked curiously, because In case he hadn’t noticed I had just butchered ‘Mary had a little lamb,’
“No, not unless you really want to,” He said slowly standing up. I quickly responded.
“No thats OK, maybe you could show me around London. I have only been here once or twice,” He smiled and his eyes twinkled. I sighed, he was really cute.
“Perfect. Do you want a ride home? Because if you do we better go now before it gets too dark,” He invited, I nodded quietly as we made our way to the garage. I got into the shotgun of his car as we made the quick trip to my hotel. I glided up the stairs, not pausing for the elevator. Slid my key through the key through the lock, and closed the door. I collapsed with few words on my mind. ‘I am going out with Niall Horan tomorrow.’
