We are having a drink when suddenly ____ turns white. She starts to look at the waiter, and suddenly passes out. I scream and try to catch her before she falls off the chair, but my reflexes aren't that great, and ____ falls.

I quickly crouch down next to her, and Shea crouches down too. I take ____'s head in my hands and try to wake her up.

- ____! ____, wake up! - I shout - Somebody call an ambulance! ____!

Shea grabs a glass of water and splashes it in ____'s face, but she doesn't respond. The ambulance arrives quickly, and ____ is taken on a stretcher to the hospital. I call Flynn and Logan, and we drive to the hospital in Flynn's car.

Upon arrival, we run to the front desk, where we are told that ____ is in the ER wing, room 142. When we arrive, we find what I believe to be ____'s parents waiting outside.

- Mr. & Mrs. Johnson? - They both turn, so I guess I was right. - I'm Lía, I was with ____ when she fainted. I was the one who took her to the disco, I'm so sorry--

____'s mother won't let me finish and hugs me sobbing. Her husband strokes her back, trying to reassure her. When the woman calms down, they ask me to explain what happened, and I tell them everything.

- We went to a disco for teenagers from 15 to 18, and after dancing we sat down to have a drink, and when ____ drank his Fanta, she turned white and passed out. My sister poured water on her, and she didn't respond, so we called the ambulance, and here we are. - I tell them.

They nod, and we wait. I turn on the mobile to write to my parents that we will be late, and to my agent to tell her that I will not be able to go to the interview tomorrow.

Fifteen minutes later, the door to the room opens. A doctor comes out and starts talking to ____'s parents. I guess he tells them that they can come and see her now, because they enter the room.

Shea and I wait while Flynn and Logan go to get some bottles of water and something to eat, because we couldn't eat dinner in the end. After a while, ____'s parents leave the room, gesturing for me to come in.

I get up and leave Shea, who is looking at her cell phone, and walk into the living room. ____ is lying on the bed, surrounded by machines and tubes that go into her skin. It gives me a chill to see her like this. I walk over to the bed, and she tries to sit up.

- Hey, hey, hey, don't get up. - I stop her. - I'm sure it's not good for whatever happens to you.

She lies down again, and I sit in the chair next to her.

- I'm sorry about what happened. - She says.

- It wasn't your fault, ____, but mine. I shouldn't have taken you to that club, I'm so sorry.

____ looks down.

- The truth is that it is partly my fault. - I look at her, curious. She sighs. - At the disco, they drugged me. But the drug didn't have to affect me like that. I have a disease, Leukopenia, which means I don't have enough white blood cells, and that's why my body couldn't reject the drug. - she tells me cautiously.

A tear falls down her cheek.

- I'm broken, Lia. I can't skip the pill every two hours, every twelve I have to inject the medicine, and I can't play sports because I need an inhaler. - she cries, filling her beautiful face with tears- I'm not okay, Lia. I'm not good enough for you or anyone. Stupid me, - she says wiping her tears - to think that I wanted to ask you out.

That last one catches me off guard, but I hide it. Good thing I'm an actress and pretending is my job. I take her hand.

- Do you want to ask me out? Do it - I tell her.

- What?

- Do it, ask me out - I ask.

- Will you be my girlfriend? - she asks me shyly.

I kiss her.

- In case you didn't get it, that's a yes. - we smile.

We spend a few more minutes talking, until a nurse comes in and tells us that visiting hours are over. I leave the room with a smile on my face, which I guess doesn't go with the hospital environment, so I put on a straight face and walk over to ____'s parents.

- Mr. Johnson, my sister and I have to go, because our parents are waiting for us, but tomorrow I will come see ____ again - I inform them.

- Oh, Lia, honey, don't worry, ____ is discharged tomorrow morning, so come see her at home. - His mother very kindly proposes to me.

- Thank you, Mrs. Martinez.

- Please, Lía, call me Gabriela, the Mrs. thing makes me look older than I am- she jokes.

- Well, see you tomorrow, Mr-- Gabriela. - I smile at her.

Shea waves to them, and we walk to the hospital door, where Flynn and Logan are waiting for us. We get in the car, and Flynn starts to drive home.

- Have you got us food? - Shea asks.

Logan just throws a bag of chips back at us, and Shea and I start eating them.

- Watch the upholstery, - says Flynn.

I roll my eyes.

- Be careful with your intelligence, I see it go away.
