Serpico x Reader Part 3

When you saw Serpico next he was with Lady Farnese. She was in a rush to get to some type of meeting within the tower of conviction. Serpico followed promptly after sending a small regretful glance your way.

You looked away with the smallest jealous feeling.

You were now grouped under General Azan.

Things were somewhat calm for the time being. It allotted for a small moment of rest. 

 There was a mixture of soldiers who had seen the horrors and those that hadn't. It seemed everyone was too paralyzed to speak of it like they didn't want to admit it were true..

You were all gathered outside the doorway of the tower when the gate suddenly burst open scaring the life out of you.

You all turned to see some gelatinous monster oozing out from the doorway. It was huge.

The scream caught in your throat.

Everything was a blur from there.

Something was happening down at the camps too as screams and yelling started. People came running for safety at the tower unaware of the horrific dangers pouring out from this side.

It swallowed up people and dissolved them instantaneously like a vat of acid.

Swords were pointless against those things. What the hell was going on?! Where was Serpico?! Last you saw he entered that building!

Azan grabbed you by the shoulder shaking you.

"I need you to focus!" he shouted.

You collected yourself enough to notice that the villagers running this way were in fact being chased.

Ghoulish monsters similar to those in the cave were attacking.

"Keep by my side" Azan ordered.

Your shaking hand drew your sword as you did what you were told. You felt a little safer having him here.

The two of you inhaled preparing for the hit. He charged forward crushing skulls as he went.

You watched with wide eyes. How could he keep such a brave composure in a time like this?!

His bravery somehow kept you and the other soldiers in line as you all followed his charge.

You knew it were life or death and started putting blunt weight on your leg. You'd just have to embrace the pain if you wanted to make it.

You dove clear of strikes swiping in and under foes. You couldn't keep your mind off of Serpico.. and that lady Farnese.. she made your blood boil..

You let anger take over as it seemed to invigorate your fighting skills.

Azan glanced over in surprise as you took the head off of a monster that nearly got him. He gave a nod your way as the two of you kept clearing the way.

Sounds of crashing erupted as you felt the very earth shaking. You all stopped to see the tower had fallen apart. The remaining pieces oddly resembled some statuesque hand..
