"Let us begin." Crescentia said solemnly. "What is the first matter to discuss?"
Marx snorted.
"Do you have something to say, Whitehall?" The guy next to him looked like he really wanted a fight.
Marx really didn't.
"Nothing, nothing. I just thought we would be focusing on Shield, since they were the ones who killed my brother. We're not gonna let that slide, now, are we?"
"Of course not, Mr Whitehall. It is imperative that we avenge your brother's death, however we must continue," Crescentia had sensed a fight about to break out, so she diffused it effectively. There were more important things to discuss, and Marx could not seem to see the bigger picture. Shame. He could not get past Gabriel.
"Then let us begin." Marx echoed with a smirk.

How was it possible to be so obvious? The fact they were both oblivious was even more frustrating to Nova. Ahhhhhhh, they were almost as bad as those people from that Midguardian TV show, what was it called, MIRACULOUS!
And it didn't help the 'bad guy' was called Gabriel.
Loki had disappeared, and if it was anyone else she would have been worried, but as it was him this was normal. She just hoped he wouldn't be wrecking too many things. He shouldn't. He knew how much she cared about this place and the people here.
Especially Kiki.
That's right, Kiki was supposed to be waking up soon. Maybe she should go check on her.
She walked towards the room they had assigned Kiki, smiling all the way. Most of the agents liked Nova well enough, she had never been unpleasant and always tried her best to keep the damage to a minimum. The rest of them were just scared of the power she held over Loki. She laughed at the thought.
Outside Kiki's room was Bucky and Sol. They were talking about...
Bucky's absolute crush.
Nova was glad Sol had noticed it to. It wasn't just her being incredibly perceptive, it really was obvious. He changed the subject and Nova giggled into her hand.
"Is she still asleep?"
☾
Kiki woke up.
Wow, that was a weird dream. She could never remember Gabriel having a brother. And they had taken out the Hydra base under the mountain, so there was no chance of a weird circle.
She still had a bit of a headache, but she needed food. She pulled the duvet down and swung her legs over. She stumbled to the door and pushed it open.
"Hey, guys." She blinked at Sol, Nova and Bucky, who were sat down talking outside.
"You're awake," Bucky said leaning back against the wall.
"No shit, Sherlock." She could still be sarcastic, even when weak. He rolled his eyes.
"Now that I know you're alright, I'm going to go train. Sol, come with me?" The last question was aimed at Sola with a sharp glare.
"I was gonna- ow!" Apparently Nova had very sharp elbows. "Sure, I'll come with you." They walked off, Sol rubbing her ribs and complaining to Nova.
That left Kiki and Bucky, alone.
"I'll take you to the kitchen, Ki." He stood up and put her arm over his shoulder.
"It's fine, Barnes. I can go myself." She started to walk away, but suddenly felt dizzy and had to put a hand against the wall.
Bucky walked over.
"I don't want you to collapse on the way, Ki. We went to too much trouble for that. And, you're my friend. I'm not gonna let a friend fall." She could tell he meant that. Falling was a bit of a touchy topic for him, so she let him wrap an arm around her waist and help her to the communal kitchen.
Just because he was a good friend.
Just a good friend who cared about her.
