First Day

It was the first day of school for the new students at UA and for little Y/n. The pro heroes had been trying to figure out how to find her parents or at least get some form of contact with them. The most they had was that her quirk was called Copycat and that as long as she caught sight of the quirk she was able to use it herself, with the ability to store the quirks as time went on. So far they only know of 5 to 7 quirks she could possibly have, but other than that. They were completely clueless.

"Wake up, we have to head out." Aizawa's monotoned voice aroused Y/n out of her sleep. Causing her to sit up, hair on her face, and tired eyes. Aizawa began picking out an outfit for her, setting down some jeans, and a shirt with a jacket. Once finally dressed, Y/n sat in AIzawa's arms as he walked down to his car. "There will be donuts in the teacher's lounge, so if you're hungry we can get you one," Aizawa said with a sigh, setting Y/n down in her seat before getting in and driving off to the school.

No matter how many times Aizawa told Y/n to stay with Hizashi, she never wanted to leave his side. "Kid, I have to go teach, so it's either you stay with Hizashi, or you have to sit at my desk, and be very quiet." Aizawa was currently wrapped up in his yellow sleeping bag, looking at the girl as he ate his jelly pouch.

"I'll be quiet," Y/n answered, walking with the caterpillar as they made their way to the classroom, finally opening the door Aizawa began.

"If you're here to make friends, then you should consider leaving. Welcome to the hero course, now everyone takes your seats." Aizawa got out of his sleeping bag, sitting it under his desk, and putting Y/n in the seat.

"Who's that?" A girl with horns asked, pointing at Y/n"

"Class, this is Y/n. She will be with me every day, and I expect you to treat her with the same respect you treat your peers with." Y/n waved at the many curious faces, but when a noise of something softly hitting the table under her caught her attention, she looked down to see crayons and some paper. "Draw something to put up on the ridge when we get home," Aizawa whispered to her, before beginning his speel about what the expectations were, and that everyone needed to change into their gym uniforms for a quirk assessment test. Thinking he had her occupied enough, Aizawa tried to leave the room, but Y/n noticed and got up to follow. "No, you have to stay here. It'll be too dangerous out there." Aizawa explained, sitting down and hugging her before trying to leave. His left foot felt a bit heavier to pick up until he realized it was because a child was clinging onto it. "Fine, you can come, but I want you at my side and within my sights at all times. Do you understand me?" Getting a nod, Aizawa brought Y/n outside and they stood there waiting for the class to all join them. Once everyone was outside, it was time for the quirk assessment to begin.

"Bakugou, you got the highest score in the entrance exam. How far could your throw in middle school?"

"63 meters."

"Try it with your quirk this time." Aizawa tossed the piece of technology to the boy, turning to the class to explain. "You were never allowed to use your quirks in school to make things fair, which I find useless. The world isn't fair." An explosive erupted and the ball was sent flying. Aizawa turned the screen to face the group.

"Aw yeah! This is gonna be so much fun!" Someone yelled before Aizawa snapped.

"Fun? This is not some game, whoever comes in last will be expelled from my class."

"But that's not fair."

"Are disasters fair? Casualties? Life isn't fair, the faster you realize, the closer you are to becoming a hero." Just as things were about to begin again, an explosion and a scream were heard in the background. Y/n was floating in the air. "Shit." Everyone stared for a bit, before Bakugou blasted off, catching her and putting her down.

"Sensei, what is Y/n's quirk?"

"From what we have figured out, she can duplicate and store quirks that she has seen. Such as Bakugou's. Since this power could become a hazard to others in the future, I was given the task to take her in. But she refuses to leave my side, so just be careful. Thank you, Backugou for getting her down."

"Tch." Bakugou irked, then went to join the group again and so the assessment was off, Aizawa made sure to cover Y/n's eyes for as long as he could, hoping to keep her from seeing any other quirks. But of course, she caught a glimpse of a few.

Finally, the day was over, and Midoriya had ended at the bottom of the list. Luckily, Aizawa allowed him to stay in the class, and after that, it was off to home for the tired man, and the energetic child. "I went so far in the air!" Y/n began talking, surprising Aizawa as she had been completely silent the entirety of the day.

"That was very dangerous, I know you have no control over your quirk yet, but you have to stay safe," Aizawa warned, though his monotone voice sounded as though Y/n's existence was only seen as a mere chore, he truly cared for her, and though not knowing her for long, he thought of her as if she was his child that he never had.

"Okie Dokie," Y/n responded, letting today slowly sink in, it all went by like a flash, so many quirks, so many incidents, and so many cool people. "Does this mean I can still hang out with you? Or do I have to go with Mr. Yamada?"

"You can stay with me, but you have to promise to be more careful, we're gonna have to train that quirk of yours so you don't accidentally use every quirk that you see. You might end up hurting yourself, especially with the Midoriya's quirk... I don't need you in a hospital bed." Aizawa groaned already knowing that the green-ette would be a hassle to deal with. "Well, I hope you had a great First Day." Aizawa smiled, looking at the kid in the back seat through the rearview mirror.
