I had to get things settled before I started Chemo and looking and feeling like I got hit by a bus. I knew after then I might think differently, so it was best to get things decided now. Sunday night I drank a few beers knowing it would help me make decisions, and got a spiral notebook out.

One- tell no one.

That rule came easy. I started tapping my pencil thinking of what else.

Two- don't drag Cole into it.

Three- act normal.

I diddn't need people coming up to me and guessing. Especially Aaron. That reminded me.

Four- protect Aaron.

For some reason Mike was out to get me, and he was doing it through Aaron.

Five- win the war.

Wanting a more happy route to balance it out, I flipped to a few pages after that and wrote:

BEAU'S BUCKET LIST

1. Visit Australia

2. Sky dive

3. Sexxxxx

4. Go to an ice glacier

5. Have my name written in another country

6. Graduate

7. Live past age 18

I closed the notebook and threw it across the room in anger. It landed against the wall open and slid down.

My mom came in without knocking, and I jumped not hearing her.

"What was that?" she asked me.

"What was what?" I asked back.

"That noise. Did you throw something? Beau, this house is too nice to have things be thrown around," she scowlded.

I just blinked at her.

"Get to bed it's late," she sighed.

She turned off my bedside lamp as she left, leaving me in the dark.

I got up from my bed and went over to where the notebook had landed. Crouching down, I picked it up. I looked around my room for a safe place to keep it, and decided in my backpack. It would blend in.

Instead of going to bed I climbed out my window. My roof was slanted enough for me to tiptoe down and jump at the edge.

Once in my backyard I stood there, glancing at the pool. The lights made it illuminate. Taking a glance behind me, I made sure nobody was in the kitchen to see me.

I backed up a few steps, and jumped in. The pool was heated and felt warm against my skin. The water made my clothes stick to me.

I dove under and opened my eyes. The lights under the water made it crystal clear to see.

I felt the water ripple behind me and I immediatly surfaced.

"Cole? What the hell are you doing here?" I asked looking at the soaked brown headed guy floating in front of me.

He looked pissed, and out of breath.

"Me!? You're the one who climbed off your roof to jump in your pool with your clothes on." He splashed water in my face.
