The Words Within

It's hard to think your words have no worth.
It's hard to hold everything in because you think others will just judge.
It's hard to have ideas shot down before they had the opportunity to fly.

So instead you don't give them a chance
To say that's foolish,
Stupid,
Immature,
Maybe even, ridiculous.

So what ultimately happens?
Silence.
You begin to pull within yourself.
You learn to speak when spoken to.
You learn that no one cares.
Your words don't make an impact.
Your ideas do nothing useful.

If you feel that way,
I get it.
Trust me I do
But there's one thing I've learned,
That life is to short.
I know it's a cliche but I promise it's true,
So please don't look back on a life you wish you could redo.

Someone does care,
Your words are beautiful and fair,
And your ideas shine like stars.
So find your voice and speak your share.
