I'm glad you found someone one new
and some days I wish I could do that too.
But I know I need more time
and I know I need more space,
Cause I know I still need to find
the things that once brought me peace.
The things inside that made me happy
I know they're still there
But I can't seem to find them anywhere.
Cause, you were everything I wanted
My best friend and favorite company.
You were right by my side when all I felt was alone,
And gave me a hope for a future
Made it all feel a little less unknown.
I just wanted you to know that I still pray you're okay.
How's your family been these days? Cause you know I still worry.
Did you accomplish your goals?
I know you weren't really in a hurry.
But I remember when you talked about it and the excitement in your voice.
Those little things that made me smile
They've been memories for awhile.
