Adam POV

The bus was empty and quiet. I felt like I was on my way to prison or my death. The driver wouldn't answer any of my questions or say anything to me. I felt sick to my stomach and was shaking with terror.

It didn't get any better when I pulled up in front of MMI. The place looked like a prison. Barb wire fencing, watchtowers; which were actually empty, and guards standing at the gate.

The bus stopped in front of the gates and I figured it was time for me to get off. So I stood and walked to the front of the bus and out the door my shoes hitting the gravel as I walked threw the gate.

The guards never even looked up at me but pointed towards a set of double doors. A man was waiting there dressed in a different type of guard uniform.

"You Adam Dahlberg?" He asked. I nodded slightly.

"My names Ant short for Antvenom. I'm one of the guards here. Let me show you to your room." I just nodded and followed him inside. The halls were just as colorless as the outside was.

Ant stopped in front of a door and pushed it open.

"Here's your room. Hope you enjoy your stay here." I stepped into the room and set my bag down on one of the beds. "Also there aren't many rules here. Just listen to anyone dressed as I am, and go to your classes; your schedule will be dropped off in the morning." Then he left.

I sighed and laid down on the uncomfortable bed looking up at the ceiling. I guess this was my new hell for notch knows how long.

Knock. Knock. Knock.

I huffed and sat up. Who the fuck was at my door? I was new here for Christ sake! Standing up I stormed over and flung open the door.

"What?!?" I snapped. The boy at the door squeaked with surprise and stepped back pushing his glasses up on his face.

"I-I just wanted to say W-Welcome to MMI." He stuttered. "My names T-Tyler."

"My names Adam. Nice to meet you." I said holding out my hand. He stared at me for a second then slowly shook my head.

"Where you from?" He asked. "I'm from Canada but no one believes me."

"Ah Washington." I exclaimed starting to smile. "What's Canada like?"

"It's cold and the weather is shit."

"Really? Weathers shit. Try fucking living in Washington. There's no weather worse than that Notch forsaken state." His eyes widened.

"Jeesh man sorry." He rubbed the back of his neck "I'm gonna go. I'll uh see you at dinner." Then turned and hurried down the hallway.

I shut the door and slammed my fist into it. Fucking hell! Did I really just do that? I scared away a potential friend because of my god damn anger and being so bipolar.

I buried my face in the pillow and screeched in anger before the tears came.
