He began to talk while she looked at him expectantly and coldly.
"I was sent here by my Highlord..", he didn't continue.
She snorted annoyed, took a step towards him again and pulled his sword out of its sheath.
Within a second she had the situation completely under control again and he was back against the moss-covered log again, with his own sword at his throat.
"Double-edged, light and handy, manual work..", she murmured to herself, genuinely impressed.
"You like it? You know your stuff, don't you?" Lucien said with a grin.
"Keep talking! And what's it to you, huh? Remember who's got that sword to whose throat and you're in no position to be cheeky," she glared at him angrily.
"Am I going to get your name yet?" he smiled.
"Elea, and now finally talk!", she shouted the words impatiently in his face.
He winced, "We heard about a so-called 'White Illyrian' on this side of the Wall and so my lord sent me hither to save her from the lord of the night court and to fetch her to us at the spring court.."
"I can work with that..", she thought about his words.
"The description fits you, Elea.." he murmured.
"Oh, suddenly so formal. Put that somewhere else or choke on it!"
With kindness it was finally over for her.

~time skip~

They crossed the border together and ran into a dense green forest.
Far and wide no snow.
"How is that possible?..." she whispered to herself.
"Magic," laughed Lucien.
"This is the court of spring, in this part of the country the seasons have been manipulated so that it is spring all year round.."
She watched him carefully from the side.
Admittedly, he really didn't look bad...
"An eternal spring then..."
"You could say that," he smiled the way you only smile when you feel home.
Arrived.
A home...
Maybe this place would be for her too...
