07| BEING PERSISTENT

MYRTLE BEACH, SC.

MEECH WAS ON HIS WAY to his unexpected getaway in South Carlina. He decided the night before to meet up with Herb and have a off the grid weekend. Plus he knew that Kam knew Herb and that was a perfect excuse.

"Yo" Herb answered the phone. "I'm pullin' up to the Airbnb" Meech said turning onto the driveway.

Meanwhile Kam was laying on the beach taking the bright sun in. She realized that she needed to get away from the crazy city life. All the ripping and running was taking a toll on her mental and physical health.

Kam sighed and slightly opened her eyes to look at the time, 3:45pm. She had a few hours before she hit the pier.

After arriving at Herb's Airbnb Meech put all is luggage into his side of the house and came downstairs to Taina's home cooked meal.

"Damn Tai I knew you got down in the kitchen but not like this" Meech said smelling the garlic mashed potatoes. Taina chuckled as she served Meech his plate.

"Yo preciate it for inviting me out man. I needed this getaway" Meech said taking a spoonful of mashed potatoes to his mouth.

"Fosho man. Shit Taina and I needed this shit too" Herb said cutting into his steak. "So what y'all on tonight?" Meech asked. He was planning on taking his rental car and driving around town just for fun.

"Nun. Taina wanna chill at the house tonight but it's a pier 'bout a few blocks down that got some dope shit" Herb chewed.

Meech nodded his head, "bet I'll just check that out."

They all ate and joked until it hit 7 o'clock.

Once 7 o'clock hit, Meech was dressed in a plain white shirt, a forest green hoodie with matching sweat pants, his forest green fitted hat, and his low Wheat Air Force 1s ready to go out.

"Aight ya'll" he threw his peace sign up and walked out the door. He got into his black Corvette and headed to the pier.

Kam took in the view as she came to a stop and placed her hands on top of the wooden pier fence.

She went into deep thought about her past life, her present, and future life. She let her mind wonder through her love life, her work life, and eventually through anything.

Meech was casually walking on the pier when he saw a familiar person leaning against the wooden pier fence. He walked closer and was able to make out a face - Kam.

He stood a few feet away from her just analyzing her. She looked to be in deep thought. She was beautiful and he even imagined what would life be if they were together.

She was the only girl who made him feel that way.

He suddenly gets the urge to walk up to her and start a conversation. "Hey" he began. Kam was startled by his presence and immediately put her guard up.

"Are you stalking me?" Kam asked raising her eyebrow. Meech chuckled lightly, "nah, are you?" He asked. Kam shook her head, "No."

She then resumed looking at the beautiful sunset hoping to get lost in her thoughts long enough for Meech to leave her alone.

"So what are you doing up here?" Meech asked, hoping she continue the conversation. "I'm on vacation. I know you don't have an appearance here so what are you doing here?" Kam asked turning her body to face him.
