Reigen wanted to hide in a deep hole where nobody would ever find him when he heard the doorbell ring. He didn't have any friends and the landlord wasn't meant to come until next week, he'd managed to convince the guy to give him some time to get the rent money, he'd managed to get most of it and only had a little bit left, so surely if it actually was the landlord, he could convince him to leave him a day at least. He could always take it out of his food money. He got up shakily, and stumbled to the door, suspecting that Dimple was still in the kitchen, surely the spirit wouldn't mind if walked around a little.

So, upon opening the door, he began, "Can you you give me a few more days? I've almost got-" Only to stop himself and look down at the small boy before him, "Mob?"

"Shishou. Dimple said I could come over, how are you feeling?" Mob glanced up at him, holding two bags in his hands, as well as his own school back over his shoulder. Reigen winced softly, and reached down to take the bags, they were clearly heavy and he didn't want the boy to strain himself. He placed them aside and hummed, "I'm.. I'm okay. Why did you want to come..?"

"Oh, well, you haven't been calling me into work, so I got a little worried."

"I.. I just, didn't want to bother you anymore. Y'know, cause you were always telling me not to call you unnoticed." Reigen whispered, "P- Plus I.. Thought you wouldn't want to come anymore, because I told you I wasn't an esper-"

"Shishou. That's more of a reason to come with you on jobs. What if there really is a bad spirit and you can't do anything?" Mob walked inside now, hanging his school bag on a hat stand, before returning to looking up at the conman, "Did you think I didn't want to come to work anymore?"

"Kind of.. But- If you do want to come- How about I make you a schedule? So that-"

"Shishou I don't need a schedule.. I will warn you beforehand if I am going anywhere or doing something, so that you don't call me- Unless you are in trouble." Mob smiled slightly, "If you are in a lot of trouble and I am busy, I'm okay with you calling me."

"You can call me if you are feeling lonely too." Mob added on, "I can always send Ekubo over if I'm too busy to visit."

"Oh." Was all that Reigen was able to say, watching as the boy slowly took one of the bags and started to rummage through the contents, "Ekubo told me to bring some food for you. It isn't much but-"

Reigen wasn't able to stop himself from blurting out a soft, "Why?" He could think of many answers, but maybe he just wanted to hear it from Mob himself. Maybe Mob had only done so because he felt obliged, or because he pitied him, or maybe even because Ekubo was just that demanding. Never did it crosss his mind that sweet, gentle, Mob, would've done it no matter who had asked.

"Well, he said there wasn't much food in your Kitchen, so I got a little worried.. I might've over done it, but- If you really do only have left over take out and stale cheese, maybe it was for the best that I did.." Mob smiled, only slightly, but he smiled. When he took out some pieces of paper, that smile brightened, "I thought that I'd stay over for a while, so I got some games and recipes too."

Would it be selfish to think it was because of him that Mob wasn't afraid to smile anymore?

He didn't do a thing.

All he did was use that stupid silver tongue of his and told the truth for once.

Mob could've.. Mob could've everything without him.

"How long are you planning to stay here?" Reigen asked quietly, shaking his head gently to clear his thoughts, "I'm not angry that you came over or anything! Just.. Curious. I wouldn't want you staying over for too long in case you have plans with your friends and-"
