sorry to say, but humans are probably one of the dumbest creatures to ever walk the face of the earth—despite the incredible domination of the homo sapiens.

sure, humans may have solved many problems, and surpassed countless hurdles to become the 'better' species.

but what's undeniable is the fact that humans have only been solving the problems...that we create.

that goes for everything in life.

because frankly, if we think about it, there wouldn't be any problems if the human race didn't create any.

relationships, breakups, academics... they're all self-created problems. a system of social construct we ourselves built up from the ground.

even so, humans care.

maybe that's what makes humans alive. and maybe that's why evolution for a human is an ongoing, daily circumstance. because we create problems. and then we spend our life's time trying to solve them.

simply put, it's an endless cycle that never falters. with a cycle that continues, over and over, and over, and over again.

problem. solve. repeat. problem. struggle. solve. repeat. problem.

it's what makes humans so unbelievably stupid and smart at the same time.

forever, we're stuck in the same loop. our own comfort loops—ones that repeat over and over again.

it does make sense that we find assurance with loops. cycles mean routine, and routines are what keep everything together—whether we want it to or not.

and so, there we go, back to your cycle. your ever unchanging cycle of life.

like every other morning, you ran through campus, towards your class. like every other morning, you had your signature coffee in your hand, and books spilling out from your bag. with your mind, somewhere in the clouds.

you paid no attention as you ran to your class. there was no need to; you've travelled this same route, this same journey for over four years.

how much longer would you continue living in this rhythm? sure, graduation would be soon. but then, what comes next?

you pushed those thoughts to the back of your mind as you continued running.

there was no way you could break your cycle. it was something that was now predominantly engraved within you.

so you did what you always did.

you ran.

but maybe...just maybe, if you had been able to break that suffocating routine...maybe you would've noticed the figure of a boy with black hair with strands of bleached blonde highlight.

the boy you haven't seen in seven years.

nishinoya yuu's pov—

"ryu! look, aren't these uniforms just perfect?"

tanaka ryunosuke let out a chuckle. "noya, we've been au tokyo for four years. and you're still talking about the uniforms?"
