Chapter 2: Sellin' My Last Pape:

Abby's POV:

I turn around and was blocked by the brothers well Morris to be honest "Lookie here the famous Jack Kelly's sister Abby Kelly, didn't sell all youse papes I see." He says with a smirk I give him a smirk back "I've neva seen youse here before." He says "Hi Morris I-I'm new h-here." I replied stuttering a bit he smiles "I'se surprised youse rememba my name." He says I shrug "I usually remember peoples' names it's easy." I replied he scoffs slightly "So how many papes do youse have?" He asks pointing to the pape in my hand "Oh um just this one Mo." I replied he smirks looking directly into my eyes "Mo huh? Already with the nicknames?" He asks I giggle I felt my face heating up "S-sorry, um it's just this one." I replied handing it to him he smirks then he pulls out a few dollars and hands them to me my mouth fell open "Morris t-this is a lot of money!" I say he shook his head he grabbed my money jar and opened it "H-hey th-" I was cut off as he put the dollars in the jar, closed it and handed it to me "Thank youse Morris." I say he smirks tipping his hat to me "No problem Ms. Kelly, I'll see youse tomorrow." He replied still holding the paper he bought from me I smile waving goodbye to him as he walked off I find myself smiling from ear to ear at my interaction with Morris Delancey I decided to head back home but I ended up losing the path "Shit." I mumbled softly "M-Morris? Youse here?" I just asked around then someone appeared behind me "Youse called ma'am?" He says in a funny voice I turn around and hug him he was taken aback by my notion but hugged me back slowly then he ruffled my hair "H-hey!" I say and swatted his hand away "You're a feisty one." He says with a smirk "So youse alright?" He asks "I'se fine Mo, just um I lost my way to the lodging house." I replied he smiles "Ah alright."

"Come on I'll take youse there." He offers I smile walking beside him "So, youse 15 right?" I asked he nods "Yep, how old are youse?" He asks "I'se 15 also." I replied he smirks "No Youse ain't." He says "I'se am why would I lie 'bout ma age?" I asked him he nods "Touché Kelly." He replies smiling at me we stop in front of a door I remembered the path "Okay youse think you memorized the path?" He asks I look at him "Sure, I'se think so Morris thank you for showing me home." I whispered he smiles "You're welcome Abs." He whispered back I smile "Abs huh? Already with the nicknames?" I mocked him he chuckles and patted my shoulder I smile then he hugged me tightly I hug him back then he pulled away "See youse tomorrow Kelly." He says softly smirking afterward then walked away "See youse Mo." I whispered waving bye to him then I knocked on the door Race opening it "Hey Giggles youse back!" He cheers I smile "Yeah, I'se am." I replied smiling walking inside he looked outside supposedly looking to see who's walking away he gasps "That's Morris Delancey!" He yells then shut the door then Jack came down "Finally sell youse last pape huh?" He asks jokingly I sigh "Yeah I'se did." I replied "Wait did youse say Morris Delancey was out there Racer?" Jack asked him he nods "Yeah he was out there Jack." He replies "Why was he out there?" I asked Jack he shrugs "Probably lookin' for some Newsie skulls to bust." He replies to me I nod my head "Alright well I'se headin' ta Mr. Jacobi's I'll be back lata Jackie Boy." I called out fixing my cap and walked out the door but Jack grabbed my shoulder "Only to Mr. Jacobi's correct?" He asks interrogating me I pull away "Yeah I'se only going there nothin' else Jack." I replied he nods "Alright have fun Abs." He says I nod "Thanks Jack." I replied and walk out heading to Mr. Jacobi's diner, once I make it to the door then walk in to see two very familiar faces. I smile stopping and seeing them"Those are the Delancey Brothers alright."
