ship : andrew garfield x reader
the reader and andrew are married. one day, while they are sleeping the reader gets a sleep paralysis in the middle of the night, and andrew comforts her until she wakes up.
warnings : sleep paralysis?, swearing
also, ive never had sleep paralysis so im basing this off of what ive heard, please let me know if i should fix anything !!
you and your husband had been peacefully sleeping. it was currently two in the morning.
all was well until you opened your eyes rapidly, the sensation that something was very wrong overcoming you. you tried to move closer to andrew for comfort, maybe sit up to compose yourself before going back to bed, but you couldnt even move. why was this happening? what was this? you couldnt move and you couldnt talk to call out for andrew.
you were just frozen in place.
it honestly scared the fuck out of you, the fact that you couldnt move at all or even let out a small whimper really didnt sit right with you - who would enjoy that?
you remained in this posision, tears silently streaming down your face, not moving or making any noise other than a shaky breath that was louder than all the rest.
when all of a sudden you could move again, your body slowly regained all movement and you sat up as soon as you could, you were full on sobbing at this point, not even caring if you woke andrew at this point.
"woah, hey, whats wrong? [Y/N]?" he asked, concern taking over as he scooted over towards you.
you shook your head, not wanting to talk about it to avoid the feeling from coming back. you were terrified to ever experience that again.
"are you hurt?" he asked just to make sure.
you shook your head again.
"okay, come here. im right by you, my love, im here. youre safe," he comforted, stroking your hair and pulled you into his chest.
"i love you," you said after you had calmed down a bit and trusted your voice not to break and for you to breakdown again if you tried talking.
"i love you more. youre safe, baby."
and with that, you both fell asleep, feeling much better and more comfortable.
again, i dont really know how sleep paralysis works or how it feels or what really goes on, im sorry
