in which peter takes valentines day way to seriously and the reader finds it disgusting, but also thinks peter is adorable.

"hey baby," you could hear the soft voice of your loved one call throughout the house. "i got you something!"
you had honestly forgotten about valentines day, you didnt really care for it all to much. you didnt feel the need to recieve or get chocolates and teddy bears, flowers and kisses. it was all silly clichés - that quite frankly you thought were gross.
peter was super affectionate towards you, but you expressed love through different ways. compliments, little things like leaving his pyjamas out on his bed during the night when you knew he would be too tired from patrolling. but touch was something super rare.
"what is it?" you called, shutting your laptop and crawling off of your bed to meet him at the door.
when you were about halfway through the hall, all you could see was your boyfriend who stopped you in your tracks. his hair was somewhat messy, he had the cutest and nerdiest smile on his face, and he was holding flowers and a gigantic teddy bear, almost the size of you, and a pack of chocolates being held in between his neck and shoulder.
"happy valentines day!" he spoke enthusiastically, the smile never fading away.
you couldnt help but grin at the sight, taking the flowers away from him and smelling them. they were lovely.
"peter, thank you so much. happy valentines, my love." you thought for a moment, only then realizing that you had completely forgotten about the holiday. "im so sorry, peter, i didnt get you anything." you felt awful.
he shook his head, pulling you into a hug after dropping the bear which you greatfully accepted. "i dont care about that. it doesnt matter. i just wanted to get you a little something."
"youre too good to me, you know that?" you said, picking the bear back up and snuggling with it playfully which made him laugh.
"i love you so much. now, why dont we go watch a movie? your pick?"
