"Where were you?" Eleanor asked when I eventually found her.
"The loo."
"I was gonna go home soon." She said giving me that look again.
"At this time?"
"Well I gotta get a flight."
"Stay a bit longer and you can sleep at my place." I offered taking her hand in mine
"I'm not gonna sleep with you, Type." She said quitely
"In a different room." I laughed
"Oh of course." Her cheeks turned a deep pink again as she blushed.
"You're blushing." I pointed out
"You're making me blush."
"It's cute." I commented and she blushed more.
"We're in public."
"Yeah we are." I chuckled
"Don't embarrass me."

"Dance with me." I said pulling her towards the centre of the room.
"No one else is dancing."
"We don't need anyone else." I pulled her in by her waist and lead her hand to my shoulder.
"People are staring." She said pushing her face into my chest as if that made her invisible.
"Let them stare." I shrugged
"Type." She started looking up at me. I don't think I'll ever not love the way she looked up at me like that.
"Yes, my love."
"You want to marry me right?"
"Hmmm." I hummed. I don't wanna marry anyone. Not her or Léo. How can I marry someone when I haven't figured out my own shit yet?
"That wasn't convincing. You know my father only let's me fly here so often because we're supposed to marry." She reminded me
"I know, don't you think its a bit soon?"
"I've known you years, you used to have a crush on me when you were 8." She laughed
"You've only just started noticing me now I'm famously hot. I'm a British prince I have options." I said jokingly but not at the same time.
"Why do you need options when you could have me?" She frowned
"I want you, I do. But I don't know,"
"Type don't waste my time." She breathed and I could tell she was getting angry.
"You never wanted me."
"Thats not true." She protested but her eyes wouldn't meet mine.
"We either work or we don't." That clearly wasn't the right thing to say as she pushed me back
"Type!"
"We work. I know we work." I think I saved it because she breathed a little slower.
"You really think we work?"
"Yes, El. I do." I smiled kissing her on the cheek

"I really like you Type."
"I like you too." I don't really know her that well but she's the sweetest girl I've ever met. I wouldn't mind marrying her. I wouldn't mind marrying him. I could imagine him waking down the aisle in his suit. Maybe a wedding dress. That would be hot. He'd look good in anything. I could imagine us reading our wedding vows on national TV and kissing him in front of millions of people. I could imagine him getting home from work each night and kissing me before making us dinner. I could imagine getting into bed and him complaining about how he needed to sleep on the left side of the bed, his side. I could imagine being with him.

With her it would be different, I could love her pure and public without judgement. Everyone would love her. She'd be welcomed into the family like she really was one of us. We'd have a few kids. I'd become king and she'd be my Queen. We'd have a safe marriage and I would love her. I would love her.

"Do you think you're beginning to love me?" She asked
"I think I will." I replied honestly. I do think I'll grow to love her. I looked over her shoulder to see Léo stood with a glass in his hand silently observing us. Why can't I be normal? Normal royals have no issue finding a lover. Why is this so much harder than I expected?
"I think I'm gonna love you too." Eleanor said and we continued dancing even though the music had already stopped.
"Give me a month."
"A month! Type I don't know if my dad will let you wait a month."
"I need to know the woman I'm going to marry." I wanna marry her for her and not just because I don't have any other choice. I might never love her but I'm going to be a good husband.
"Then get to know me." She said quietly
"Stay for a week. Just a week." I asked spinning her around and I could feel everyone watching us.
"I don't know."
"Please." I said stopping us dancing
"Okay. I'll call my father tomorrow. But what about the Tussaints?" Oh yeah
"What about them?"
"I don't want to be a burden if you already have an entire family as a guest."
"It's only a week. By the sound of it the Tussaints will be here a bit longer than that. I'll spend time with them later." I explained
"Really?"
"Yeah, sure."
"Okay." She nodded smiling. Léo's gonna hate this.
