----"Memories swim and haunt you. But you look into the lake, shimmering in smoke."
"....rises the moon.""D-Did we die?! I-Is that why we are like this?"
One word. Horrified. That drawing he did the other day, he didn't even know that it would come true. Or his dreams that became some prophecy in his life.
Tommy ignored Tubbo and scrambled to put his stuff in his bag, planning to go back at his house and stay there for the rest of the day until Ranboo and Tubbo would kindly explain how this all happen in the private comforts of his house. All Tommy thought was how great this was, and he wasn't happy at all even when he just got to the library no problem.
Tommy did spot Tubbo's camera he had slinged across.
"No, we were here in the library this whole time," Ranboo let out a soft chuckle, "There's no way we could've just poofed out of existance, because that's just ridiculous."
"What were you doing in the library? Like before you're in this situation to begin with?" He says.
Tommy knows it's a dumb question. Of course there's a bajillion things to do in this library. Like play on the computers or read books, hang out and mess around like what Ranboo and Tubbo were doing by it's chances.
"Finding our friend. He suddenly went missing and we were all worried. And lot's of things are happening that can't be real," Tubbo answered.
"So the both of you went here in the library to see if he's here?"
"Yeah. This place means a lot to us and it's the first place we hanged out at. He was the one who started this book during our summer together, y'know, to remember it or look back at it."
Such a cliché. Who would even come up with that shit idea. At least be creative or something....
Tommy stood up from the seat, spotting the girl in the corner of his eye. Her face was mostly a suspicious look but still kept it with good manner and nothing was left to be severely rude to him.
He heaved his bag over his shoulder, muttering while rushing past them to follow him. They took it as if he didn't like them because Tubbo and Ranboo's reactions made them shuffle behind him out the door, passing the nice elderly woman at the counter who was reading a book and waved to the the fumbling Tommy than the both of them.
The air is warm, sweat begining to form more than what it felt like in the library. Not with the sheer embarrassment since that was already over, but with the summer season coming by.
Ranboo managed to catch up and asked, "Where are we going exactly?"
"My place. I can't be just standing there talking to oxygen! I'm already hallucinated enough as it is."
The walk back home wasn't bad of a walk. Tommy had to keep stopping for both of them just because they kept on looking every single thing that they pass by. He would might as well bring a whole ass museum to his house for them to stare at classic paintings or sculptures for hours at a time like the nerds they are.
And everytime they notice Tommy's impatient nature, one of them would always apologize so much it wouldn't even be a sentence anymore. Sorry for holding up! would keep him up for days on end.
Tommy's goals were simple: find a way to get them out of your life. As soon as possible. So much for getting my grades up and having some peace in my life.
