I was standing on the wall watching the news while listening to my uncle talk to Lala.
"Somebody knows who this bootleg Black Lightning is. I want you to raise the production amount 50% on every church and business, every crap game, massage parlor. Even rin shack. Squeeze the darkies till they crack" Well, he's not happy about this.
"Damn, boss. You really do hate black people" I heard Lala say. Bad move man. "No, I love black people. I hat incompetent, thick-lipped, scratch-where-it-don't-itch Negroes like you" My uncle responded. I can guess that Lala got hurt because I heard him groan. "Y'all keep us acting like newly freed slaves." "Boss, I got a plan for that"
"Perception and fear, Lala. If the people of Freeland start to perceive we are not longer in control, then they won't fear us. Maybe they'll start to think that this fool pretending to be Black Lightning will actually protect them. And I surely can't have that"

I was sitting on the front stoop next to Jennifer with Mom. I was texting Lucius believe it or not. He actually can be intelligent.
"Y'all wanna buy some candy?" I heard a little boy walking up to us. I walked up with Jen to the little boy. "Yo, what you got little, man?" I asked him. He then pulled out a water gun and pointed it towards Jen and I. "Lala says high" He shoots us with what looks like fake blood. I heard Mom gasp, the police run towards us. The boy dropped the box and I felt mom's arm around me.
What. The. Hell?!
I walked back up to my room and decided to text him.
Me👑: Hey, are you busy right now?
Flirt❤: Yea, why? Does Princess need rescuing from a handsome prince?
Me👑: Haha🙄. Very funny. Do you wanna hang out or not?
Flirt❤: Of course. I know just the place.
Me👑: See you in 10
He sent me an address and I left after leaving a note for Dad, Mom, and Jen
[At the place]
When I got there I saw lights on the ground and followed them to a clearing where stood Lucius with his car all fancy. He had lights and a blanket. It was really nice.
"What's this?" I asked walking towards him. "Well, lately you seem stressed so this is where I go to de-stress" He said. He turned my body around and I saw an overview of the city.
"It's so, beautiful" I said looking at it. "Yeah, it is" Unbeknownst to me. He looked at me while he said that.
We talked all night and had fun. Soon it was getting really late. "I have to get home soon" I said looking at Lucius. "I'll drive you home if you need it" "oh I really couldn't--" I was cut off by him opening the door. I rolled my eyes and got in.
He smirked and backed out driving back to my house.
[At your house]
"I had fun with you Whale" He chuckled. "I could tell by how many times I heard that beautiful laugh of yours" I rolled my eyes and lightly laughed. "There it is again. You're beautiful Y/n. Don't let anyone ever tell you different" He said looking me in my eyes.
Our faces got closer together and before I knew it, we kissed. It felt like the rest of the world stopped. It was going to go deeper when I pulled away. "Not this time whale" He was about to say something but I cut him off my pecking his lips and walking out.
Yeah... Let's see how he responds to that.

I walked into Gambi's place and felt a wave on nostalgia go over me.
"I forgot how warm and beautiful this place is" I said as Gambi turned towards me. "You know how this ends, right?" I asked him. "The same way it always ends for everyone, Lynn" I said to me. "Happy like a man who was peace just being Jefferson Pierce" I retorted. "But he isn't just Jefferson Pierce, he is so much more than that and you know that better than anyone" Gambi tried to tell me. "I do, and that's why I want you to stop him before he gets addicted again." I told him
"We have a difference of opinion on that"

"I don't Jefferson was ever addicted to his powers. He was in war to save this city and its people, and he was winning. Then he suddenly stopped because he was addicted to you" Here we go again. "And now look at the condition of this city and its people. It's... it's complete chaos"
"Sounds like you're blaming me for the chaos" I told him with a straight voice. "A little. Just like you blame be, then and now."
He's not wrong. "But ultimately, it is Jefferson choice what he doss with his powers"
Lucius's POV
I was walking with my uncle and cyanide towards Lala's cell. Let's just say we're gonna teach him a lesson. The officer opened his cell and we walked in. I watched as my uncle walked up to him
"Lala. You shot somebody's mama? Any man that'd do that has no morals" He handed me his sunglasses. "No principles to live by. Which means there's nothing you are not capable of, including becoming a rat"
My uncle started choking Lala. I can't say I'm surprised. I knew he was gonna do something stupid eventually.
