Fairytale High (Laxus x Lucy)

Chapter 7

Still Lucy's Pov
The final bell rung and I look up from my place on Laxus' lap only to find him looking down at me with an expression I can't quite understand. I smile up at him and he smiles back with a small blush forming on his cheeks. "It's time to go home. Do you wanna come to my place and hang out to catch up?" He asks and I nod happily. "Yeah sure! I just have to stop by auntie Anna's place. I'm staying with her until I can find my own place." I say and he nods but now has a thinking face. I giggle and get up from off of his lap now standing up on my own. I stretch my arms up above my head and I hear a few cracks coming from my lower back. "Ahhh that feels good." I say as I relax my arms. I hear a chuckle and turn to the source to see Freed standing behind me. "You sure are quite cheerful, lady Lucy." Freed says smiling at me and I smile back. "Well yeah. What's here to make my day gloomy?" I say as I stretch my arms out and he nods. "True." He says then he looks slightly to the side of me. Before I got a chance to ask him about it or even look myself I feel an arm around my shoulder. I jump slightly but relax when I realize it's just Laxus. "Let's go." He says and I nod. Freed also nods and follows beside us to Laxus car. Laxus leads me to the passenger side of his car as he opens my door for me. I smile and thank him before getting in. He smiles and nods before heading to the drivers side to get in. Freed gets in the back reading a book already buckled up. I quickly put my seatbelt on and so does Laxus. As Laxus turns his car on it finally dawned on me "Urm. Laxus?" I asked shyly. He looks at me with an eyebrow raised. I play with my fingers looking down at my hands. "Do you know where to go?" I ask and he chuckles. "Do you think I forgot where our favorite house to play hide and go seek was? Not to mention the best cook?" He says after chuckling. I giggle and shake my head. "I was just wondering because, well you know, it's been a while." I say softly and I feel a huge hand land on top of my head. "Yes. It has been. But I could never forget because we made so many great memories there." He says smiling down at me with a soft look in his eyes.
Nobody's POV
Freed is watching the scene smiling. Enjoying the change of attitude Lucy has brought out of Laxus. The ride to Lucy's aunts house was silent, but it was a comfortable silence. Nobody felt out of place or uncomfortable. It feels like they were all childhood friends who grew up and stuck together. Everyone liked this feeling and just enjoyed each other's company. Not to long after Lucy's aunts house came into view. Lucy and Laxus smile as the car comes to a complete stop. "Auntie Anna will be so surprised and happy to see you Laxus. And she'll be so excited and happy to see I've made a friend within the first actual day of me being back." Lucy says as she looks at each person when she says the sentence meant for them. Both boys smile at the cheeky young blond. A look of fondness in their eyes but each totally different. Freed has a brotherly fondness over the young blond and as for Laxus. Well his fondness is somewhat unclear to him for the moment but little does he know, he will soon understand exactly what it is.
Lucy's POV
I walk up the steps to the front door with Laxus and freed trailing behind me. I stop once I get to the front door and pull out a key from my purse, unlocking the door before me. As it unlocks I take my shoes off and leave them by the front door. "Auntie Anna! I'm home! And I brought company!" I say loudly as Freed closes the front door and locks it behind him. I see Laxus and Freed already has their shoes off and they have placed them right beside mine. I smile at this and walk further into the house with them once again following behind me. All of the sudden we hear stomping coming from the staircase. I giggle as I already know it's auntie running down the stairs. "Oh Lucy dear! Your back! What took you so long and how was-" auntie Anna says ranting but stops once she sees the boys standing behind me. She stops in her tracks and her eyes stays on Laxus. "I-is that Laxus?" She asks me while still staring at Laxus. I giggle and nod. "Yup." I say and Laxus steps forward smiling towards auntie Anna. "Nice to see you again auntie A." He says warmly and auntie Anna jumps and laughs. "Oh my! You've grown so much! You were just a babe when I last seen you. And to find out all this time you were still around the area." She says while hugging him. As she backs away she puts her hands on his cheeks. Happiness in her eyes as she takes a good look at him. Her eyes then trail off to Freed who was standing there politely. He smiles as he notices her looking at him. "hello miss Anna. I am Lucy and Laxus' friend. It is a pleasure to meet you ma'am" he says while bowing slightly in respect. Auntie and I giggle at his politeness and Laxus just chuckles. Auntie Anna walks over to him and hugs him. "It's nice to meet you too. Do you guys have anything planned for today?" She asks as she pulls away from the hug and backs up so she can see all of us. I look at Laxus and he smiles while nodding. "Yes ma'am. I was wondering if I can take Lucy to my house so we can hang out and catch up." Laxus says and my auntie beams at his politeness. She squeals once she realizes he's asking her permission to take me out. She nods. "Sure. Just have her home before 11." She says and we all smile at her. "Yes ma'am." Laxus says and I quickly run up stairs to grab a few things. I run back down and smile. "Ready!" I say happily. Everyone giggles or chuckles as my happiness and the 3 of us walks out of the house as auntie sees us out.
